Take a good look at my husband’s face in this photo. 👀

Hmm…

I reckon he’s probably thinking:

“She’s going to lose her s**t in about a week…”

And you know what?

He was right. 😂

Yesterday, I lost my s**t.

I’d had surgery recently, I felt like absolute crap, I was uncomfortable, exhausted and just generally over it.

We were driving somewhere and my husband hopped into the passenger seat.

He goes,
“Yep, you drive up. I’ll drive back.”

And I’m thinking…

WHAT THE F**K?!

“But I’ve just had an operation!”

His response?

“Yeah, I’ve been driving all day.”

Ohhhh… okay then. 😳

Sweet.

But inside?

MY BLOOD WAS BOILING. 😂

Eventually, on the way home, I lost it.

Yelled. Screamed. Had a good old-fashioned emotional explosion.

He went home and back to work.

And then…

THE TEARS CAME.

I felt bloody awful for losing my s**t, so I rang him and apologised.

His response?

“It’s alright. I knew you were going to lose your s**t.”

😳

EXCUSE ME?!

Apparently, according to the men’s unofficial handbook, women have some sort of 3–6 monthly cycle where we lose our s**t.

So naturally, I had to throw this theory into ChatGPT.

And apparently…

Nope. 😂

There is no scientifically recognised “every 3–6 months women lose their s**t” cycle.

BUT there are hormonal fluctuations, stress, exhaustion, perimenopause, emotional overload and about a million other things that can make our tolerance disappear faster than my husband chasing the chickens s**tting on the concrete!

And apparently…

MEN LOSE THEIR S**T TOO.

So there you go. 😏

I’m not sure whether I should be annoyed that my husband apparently knew it was coming and just waited for the explosion, or impressed that he handled it by letting me vent and not throwing petrol on the fire.

Because, to be fair…

He didn’t argue.

He didn’t try to fix it.

He didn’t yell back.

He just let me get it out.

And afterwards, when I apologised, he simply said:

“It’s alright.”

Now, I’m not saying he’s perfect.

Far from it. 😂

There have definitely been times when he’s been the one losing his s**t and I’ve had my own thoughts about how that was handled!

But it did get me thinking…

Maybe sometimes the person in front of us doesn’t need us to fix them, correct them or fight back.

Maybe they just need a safe place to let the pressure out.

And THAT got me thinking about what we do in kinesiology…

Because sometimes the yelling, frustration, anger or tears aren’t really about the thing that just happened.

Sometimes they’re the last straw.

The nervous system is overloaded. The emotional cup is full. And suddenly…

BOOM.

So, to all the men reading this:

Apparently, your wife/girlfriend may lose her s**t every 3–6 months. 😂

I’m not saying you should run.

I’m saying…

maybe don’t add petrol.

And to all the women:

If you’re wondering why you suddenly feel like screaming at everyone…

Maybe check what’s really going on underneath the reaction.

And to the men in my following…

What do you reckon?

Is this 3–6 month theory actually part of the secret men’s handbook? 😂

Or have you just learned that sometimes the smartest thing you can do is sit back, shut up, and let her vent?

Shout out to my husband💯

Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is surrender. 🤍

Last Thursday, I had surgery—something that, without going into too much detail, was a little reminder of the legacy of having two ten-pound babies only a year apart! 😂 So, I’m not blaming one or the other… they’re both taking the blame for this one!

But this week has also brought up something much deeper for me.

My husband has seen me at my absolute worst.

Vomiting. Diarrhoea. Unable to do the things I would normally just get on with myself. And he has had to step in, help me, clean up after me and, most importantly, look after me.

And I realised something…

I don’t think he has ever really had to see me like this before.

Because I’ve always been the strong one.

The one who looks after the kids when they’re sick.
The one cleaning up the vomit.
The one who keeps everything moving.
The one who figures it out.
The one who says, “I’ve got this.”

But this time, I didn’t have it.

And I had to surrender.

I had to allow someone else to care for me.

And honestly? That was really hard.

There is something incredibly vulnerable about allowing yourself to be cared for when you’re so used to being the caregiver.

And I wonder how many other mums can relate to this?

How many women have spent years putting everyone else first, being the strong one, being the organiser, the nurturer, the one everyone turns to… and then find it incredibly uncomfortable when it’s their turn to ask for help?

Sometimes the block isn’t that we don’t have support.

The block is that we don’t feel comfortable receiving it.

We may carry beliefs around being strong, independent, needing to cope, not wanting to be a burden, or feeling like we should be able to manage everything ourselves.

And this is where Emotions & Metaphysical Kinesiology (EMK) can be so powerful.

Kinesiology can help us explore the emotional and energetic patterns that may be sitting underneath our difficulty with asking for help, receiving support, letting go of control and allowing ourselves to simply be cared for.

Because sometimes healing isn’t about doing more.

Sometimes healing is about doing less.

About taking a breath.

About letting someone else step in.

About allowing yourself to be vulnerable.

About surrendering to the moment instead of fighting it.

And perhaps most importantly…

Knowing that you don’t have to be strong all of the time. 🤍

This week, that’s what I’m working on.

Learning to receive.

Learning to ask for help.

Learning that surrender isn’t weakness.

And learning that sometimes, allowing someone to look after you is one of the greatest acts of self-care.

✨ You are allowed to be the one who needs looking after too. ✨

Today I had a client explain to me how she experiences Kinesiology, and she gave me such a beautiful analogy.

She described it like baking a cake. 🧁

Each emotion, belief, experience or energetic imbalance is like an individual ingredient. During a Kinesiology session, we identify those ingredients and bring them together—just like adding everything into a bowl.

Then comes the mixing, where everything is processed and integrated. And finally, the cake goes into the oven.

That baking process is like the body processing everything that has been uncovered and balanced during the session.

It takes time for all those ingredients to come together, transform and become something different.

I thought it was such a beautiful way of describing the Kinesiology process—because sometimes the real shift happens after the session, while your body, mind and energy continue to process and integrate what has been worked through. ✨

🫶Menopause: Your Awakening

Do you fear getting older or worry that you won’t feel needed anymore?

Do you feel resentful, like your days of fun, freedom and feeling like *you* are over?

Has menopause left you questioning your value, your purpose, or even your relationship with your own body?

Maybe you feel like your body has betrayed you.
Maybe you don’t recognise yourself anymore.

If this sounds familiar, please know you’re not alone. ❤️

But what if menopause isn’t the ending we’ve been taught to fear?

🫶What if it’s an awakening?🫶

A time to slow down, turn inward and rediscover the woman underneath all the roles you’ve carried for so long.

Because we are so much more than someone’s daughter.
More than someone’s partner.
More than someone’s mother.

Those parts of us will always be there, and they are beautiful. But menopause can be an invitation to ask ourselves:

🌟Who am I, really?
🌟What do I want?
🌟What lights me up?
🌟What brings me joy?
🌟What does it mean to truly love and accept myself?**

This can be an incredibly powerful chapter of our lives.

A time to let go of who we thought we *should* be and step into who we truly are.

Menopause doesn’t have to be something we simply endure.

**It can be the beginning of coming home to ourselves.** ✨

A deeper relationship with ourselves.
A new sense of freedom.
A rediscovery of our purpose.
And perhaps, for the first time, the space to simply be **YOU**.

**What if this isn’t the end of who you were… but the beginning of who you’re becoming?** 🌿

Let me be part of your journey
Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology can help you explore this beautiful transformation in your life.

11/08/2026

I had to ring in sick today and it is something I do not do often but today I had to be the big girl. Sometimes, you just have to put yourself first. ❤️

Sometimes you have to say:

“I can’t come to work today. I’m sick.”

And then comes the guilt.

The fear of letting people down.
The feeling that you should be there.
The worry that someone else will have to pick up the pieces.
That little voice telling you that you’re being selfish for taking time for yourself.

But what if you’re not being selfish?

What if you’re finally listening to your body?

As I lie here in bed with my stomach rumbling from the bug I’ve picked up, I’ll admit… part of me feels sad.

Sad that I’m not doing what I normally do.
Sad that I might be letting people down.
And, if I’m completely honest, a little uncomfortable with putting myself first.

But my body is telling me something.

Slow down.
Rest.
Stop.
Take care of me.

And sometimes, we need to give ourselves permission to listen.

Through Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology (EMK), we can explore some of those deeper emotional patterns that keep us stuck in the belief that we have to keep going.

Why do we feel guilty when we rest?
Why do we feel responsible for everyone else?
Why is putting ourselves first so uncomfortable?
Why do we feel like we have to be strong all the time?

Sometimes those patterns have been sitting beneath the surface for years.

EMK can help bring awareness to those emotional stresses and beliefs, allowing us to gently explore what your body and emotions may be holding onto — and create space for a different response.

Because taking care of yourself isn’t letting anyone down.

You cannot pour from an empty cup.

You cannot keep giving when there is nothing left to give.

And sometimes loving yourself means saying:

“Today, I choose me.”

So today, that’s what I’m doing.

I’m resting.
I’m listening.
I’m allowing myself to recover.

And I’m reminding myself that I am just as worthy of care as everyone I spend my life caring for.

Maybe you need to hear that today too.

It’s okay to put yourself first.
It’s okay to rest.
It’s okay to say no.
And it’s okay to take care of you. ❤️

✨ **What is Emotions & Metaphysical Kinesiology?** ✨

If you have been sitting on the fence and anxious about trying this out have a read and take advantage of 50% off for August.

Have you ever felt like you *know* what you need to change, but something inside you keeps holding you back?

This is where **Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology (EMK)** can help.

EMK is a gentle, holistic modality that works with the connection between the **mind, body, emotions and energy**.

Using muscle reflex testing, we can communicate with the subconscious mind and identify areas where stress, emotions, limiting beliefs or old patterns may be creating imbalance in the body.

Sometimes we can understand something consciously, but our body is still holding onto the stress or emotional response. EMK helps bring these underlying patterns to the surface so they can be acknowledged, released and shifted.

🌿 **EMK may support you with:**
> Emotional stress and overwhelm
> Fear and anxiety.
> Limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging patterns
> Old emotional experiences and trauma
> Feeling stuck or disconnected
> Repeating patterns that no longer serve you
> Bringing more balance to your nervous system and energy
> Work Life balance

EMK is not about forcing change. It is about listening to your body, understanding what it may be holding onto, and supporting you to create a deeper sense of balance within yourself.

For me, EMK is about creating an **Inner Shift** — helping you reconnect with yourself, release what is no longer serving you, and create space for something new. No judgement just a gentle nudge in a nurturing environment.

✨ **Your body often knows more than your mind realises.**

If you feel like something is holding you back and you're ready to explore what may be underneath it, I’d love to support you.
