🏀 SHOOTING TO CHINA! 🇨🇳🇳🇿
Hi Friends and Family,
We have some pretty exciting news in the Twigg household!
Sylvia has been nominated by Wellington Basketball and selected by Basketball NZ to attend the 2026 FIBA “Her World, Her Rules” Girls Summer Camp in China.
We are incredibly proud of her and so grateful she’s been given this amazing opportunity.
Sylvia has worked hard for this. Last term she was getting up early and training before school four mornings a week, and she continues to show a huge amount of determination and commitment to improving her basketball. We feel she has absolutely earned this opportunity, but she also needs to put in some work to help get herself there.
To help raise funds for the trip and feel prepared at the same time, Sylvia is taking on a challenge:
🏀 50 free throws every day for 25 days
🏀 1,250 shots in total
🏀 Starting 14 June
The challenge isn’t just about basketball. It’s about building habits, showing consistency, and proving to herself that she can stick at something every single day.
We’d love your support to help cover some of the costs of getting her to China.
