Nicotine Inhaler - the inhale study at the University of Otago Wellington

Nicotine Inhaler - the inhale study at the University of Otago Wellington The inhaler is a safe method to deliver a rapid hit of rewarding ni****ne to the brain via the lung within 6 seconds after inhaling it.

At the INHALE study we are testing a new ni****ne inhaler that we believe could be as rewarding as smoking, and therefore a more effective tool to help people quit smoking www.otago.ac.nz/inhale Therefore it should provide the same level of enjoyment and reward as inhaling from a cigarette, but because it contains ni****ne which is not harmful, and does not contain the harmful chemicals in cigaret

te smoke (like tar, carbon monoxide etc) it is safe to inhale. The study is being conducted at the University of Otago in Wellington, it is funded by the New Zealand Health Research Council, and has approval from the Central Region Ethics Committee and the Standing Committee on Therapeutic Trials.

This video shows the spray plume pattern of two slightly different prototype versions of the inhaler. They show that the particles are very small and ideal for getting down to the lungs and being absorbed rapidly and getting to the brain within 6 heartbeats.
