A vehicle that helps Hospice get where it's needed!

A big thank you to WR Phillips, one of our valued Hospice Champions, for providing a vehicle for Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki.

This vehicle is used by our community nurses working across the Coastal area, helping ensure hospice care can reach people where they are - at home, in their own communities and surrounded by the people and places that matter to them.

And it's not just about getting from A to B.

The vehicle needs to be safe and reliable in all conditions - from frosty mornings and wet winter nights to bright summer days. It has the space needed to carry clinical equipment and small items of loan equipment, helping our nurses be prepared to whatever the day brings.

Most importantly, W R Phillips' support is all about practical partnerships that make a real difference to the way we provide care across Taranaki.

Thank you .r.phillipsmitsubishi, for helping us keep Hospice moving.

“I’ve got a 22-year-old solo dad having to cook nutritious food for his kids. And an 89-year-old whose wife suddenly died and he hardly knew what the toaster was, let alone an oven – yet now he expertly whips up Thai chicken curries. We have a lot of fun."

Bestselling cookbook author and TV star Jo Seagar is dishing up more wonderful ways to share her talents. She shares her recipe for a full life in our latest issue, out now.

Your chance to become the kaitiaki of this stunning piece!

"Tui o te Pō" is more than a piece of Art, it is a story, it is hope, it is courage, it is protection, it is compassion and care...and it could be yours!

Sadly, the buyer fell through from the Auction, and we need to find this special Tui his new home so we can close off He Wāhi Toi.
Made with deep aroha specifically for He Wāhi Toi and Hospice Taranaki......

"Tui o te Pō — “Tūi of the Night” depicts the Tūī as a spiritual kaitiaki of the ngahere, observing and safeguarding the natural world.

Drawing on over 30 years of Traditional Maori Carving (Mahi Whakairo) experience under the guidance and teachings of Master Carver Rangi Hetet, this work is firmly grounded in traditional carving knowledge and practice. Inspired by Māori design, the flowing koru and vibrant colours symbolise life, connection, growth, and the shared journey we all undertake.

I am honoured to gift this piece to He Wāhi Toi – Art Exhibition, in support of Hospice Taranaki. ❤️
A small contribution from my practice to acknowledge and support the invaluable work Hospice provides within our community.

Nga mihi-nui
Tairongo Hauwaho "

What more can we say...... this has to be seen to be appreciated because it is truly outstanding, and encapsulates He Wāhi Toi and Hospice Taranaki Inc perfectly.
SIZE - 120cm x 47cm x 3cm.

If you are interested in purchasing this piece, please put your bid in the comments below (or if you would prefer to keep it anonymous please DM us or contact Wendy Fleming on 0276869090).
