โ๏ธ๐ Today's the shortest day of the year! ๐โ๏ธ
Did you know that worker bees born during summer usually live for only 5โ6 weeks? During that time they're busy foraging, raising brood, making honey, and keeping the hive running.
Winter bees are different. Hatched in autumn, they are specially adapted to survive through the colder months, often living for several months while clustering together to keep the hive warm and the colony thriving until spring.
While we're keeping warm indoors today, our bees are tucked up inside their hive, working together to make it through winter.
Nature is truly amazing!
