✨ Why does being a Registered Hypnotherapist matter? ✨
One thing many people don’t realise is that the hypnotherapy industry in New Zealand is not government regulated, which means training, experience, and professional standards can vary greatly between practitioners.
That’s why professional registration matters 💛
I’m proud to be a Registered Hypnotherapist with both Hypnosis New Zealand and the New Zealand Association of Professional Hypnotherapists (NZAPH), recognised at the highest level of membership within both organisations.
Hypnosis New Zealand states that their Board Certified and Registered Hypnotherapists have completed some of the most stringent certification processes in New Zealand, requiring extensive training, experience, and ongoing professional standards.
Being professionally registered means I have met and continue to maintain requirements including:
🌿 Extensive professional training and clinical experience
🌿 Continuing education and ongoing professional development
🌿 Regular supervision and accountability
🌿 Police vetting/screening
🌿 Current first aid certification
🌿 Ethical and professional practice standards
🌿 Commitment to safe, client-centred care
For me, this work is not just about techniques, it’s about creating a safe, supportive, professional environment where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported through change.
Whether someone comes to see me for anxiety, trauma, fears and phobias, confidence, emotional wellbeing, habits, or personal growth, I believe they deserve care from someone who is committed to professionalism, ongoing learning, and ethical practice ✨
Choosing a hypnotherapist is personal and knowing the person supporting you is properly trained, experienced, and professionally accountable can make a real difference.
