You’ve heard magnesium flakes are all the rage for natural wellbeing. So you grab a bag during the 15% off special.

The obvious way is a warm bath before bed. Especially after long days, sore muscles, stressful weeks, or times when sleep just isn’t happening easily.

Ah, good old Epsom salt.

It’s one of those simple staples that quietly does a lot. Many people reach for it after a long day, a workout, or when their body feels tight and tired. It’s also a go-to when your sleep feels a bit off or you just need a proper wind-down in a warm bath with ALL the benefits.

If you DO have time for a longer evening routine to help you sleep better, feel more relaxed and better able to cope with stress, here's one you could try.

The bath, candle and herbal tea can be done at the same time. As could reading a book. That's my favourite. But it has to be a novel. Nothing educational or overly dramatic! I don't think I'd listen to the meditation in the bath just in case I drifted off!

To this routine I'd also add spraying magnesium oil onto my feet, neck and shoulders once I'm in bed.
