To wrap up our one year anniversary, we would like to make another post saying thank you.
Thank you to all of our supporters, our past and present clients and the people who entered the draw for the giveaway.
Thank you, our KIB whanau is most definitely growing which we love to see.
A huge thank you to our guest artist who came and filled our space with knowledge, inspiration and laughter. It was an absolute honour to have you in our shop.
Thank you to our team, including the barbers, artist and everyone in the cafe for holding it down for KIB.
Last but far from the least, a special thank you to Joel and Kylie.
We appreciate everything you do for us and the shops. Everything you two do doesn’t go unnoticed.

As our Barber team said we have a big announcement whanau & todays the day.
Just short of a year & 3 studios later, our whanau based pakihi has grown so much in such a short time.
Giving thanks to our rangatira wharekai who we are all apart of whanau.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT KIB WHANAU ‼️‼️

Our one year anniversary is around the corner so we’ve decided to do a giveaway to show our appreciation for all of your guys support! We’ve grown a lot over the past year, creating new spaces, meeting new people and even extending our shop into 3. We just want to thank you for following along with us on this journey. Without you all, we would not be where we are today. 💯

Quick FYI Mokorua has something good coming so keep an eye out whanau! 😉

The draw starts 01/06/26 and the 3 winners will be drawn on the 20th. One entry per haircut or braids, so book in via timely (LINK IN BIO) to secure a spot as there is only 3 weeks to enter the draw‼️

1ST PRIZE - Half day (3 hours) with and a hair cut.
2ND PRIZE - A hair cut and dutch braids plus extensions from

Kia ora whanau as of this long weekend both Kensington & Kaipara Barbers will be closed
Friday 3rd
Saturday 4th
Monday 6th we will be closed due to the expansion of our 3rd pakihi(business) as we prep it to be up & running by Tuesday 7th of April 2026 whanau.

However we will be open to do bookings only for barbers.

Our Tamoko/Tattoo studio will be open as per usual

Kia Ora whanau huge announcement we are opening our 3rd Barber Studio right here in the heart of Kensington, Whangarei.
Our original studio grew to big therefore needing to expand to Kamo Rd right next door to Adriatics Fish n Chip shop.
That being said the original KIB will now become a full time Moko/Tattoo studio.
Therefore we are on the hunt for Barbers & Moko/Tattoo Artist to be apart of our ever growing whanau.
