As Men’s Mental Health Week comes to a close, we want to end with hope. Wellbeing is not only about getting through hard days. It is also about purpose, connection, and feeling that your presence matters. For some men, that purpose lives in fatherhood. For others, it lives in friendship, mentoring, partnership, service, creativity, work, or community. There is no single path. What matters is this: meaning can support wellbeing, and care is part of strength. Today, take one small step toward what helps you feel more connected, useful, or grounded. Today is the final day. Myth: rest means doing nothing. Rest can be stillness, but it can also be gentle movement, warm conversation, breathwork, reflection, creativity, or time in a space where you do not have to hold everything alone. At Momentum, we see rest as an active part of wellbeing. It helps the body recover, the mind settle, and the whole person feel safer and more supported. That is the heart of Flourish Women’s Wellbeing Morning: active rest through movement, breath, connection, and grounded wellbeing practices. You do not need experience. Options are always available. Book your mat.

Sometimes men are taught to see help-seeking as weakness. We see it differently. Asking for support can be a practical, steady, and courageous step. It might start with a friend, a GP, a counsellor, or a helpline. You do not need to wait until things become overwhelming. Support is not all or nothing. It can begin with one small action. If you are in Aotearoa New Zealand and need someone to talk to, you can free call or text 1737 any time to speak with a trained counsellor. Save this post as a reminder that support is available. Comment EBOOK and we will send you the free e-book on Sunday 21 June.

Men’s wellbeing is not only personal. It is also relational. Feeling connected, understood, and supported can make a real difference. Sometimes the most helpful thing is not a big speech. It is a message. A walk. A shared coffee. A genuine check-in. For many men, support is easier side by side than face to face. That still counts. This week, reach out to one man in your life: a mate, brother, dad, son, colleague, neighbour, or partner. Small connection can go a long way. Comment EBOOK and we will send you the free e-book on Sunday 21 June.

Before the weekend begins, take three slow breaths. Not to fix everything. Not to force calm. Just to create a small moment of space between the week you have carried and the rest you may need. Try this: Inhale gently. Exhale slowly. Let your shoulders soften. Repeat three times. Small practices like this can support the nervous system and help you return to yourself. We will practise simple tools like this at Flourish Women’s Wellbeing Morning. Save this or share it with someone who may need a pause.

This Men’s Health Week, we are highlighting an important part of overall health that is often overlooked: mental wellbeing. Many men are taught to push through, keep it to themselves, and carry stress alone. Sometimes that can make it harder to cope, connect, and ask for support. \n\nAt Momentum, we believe strength can also look like honesty, rest, connection, and support. Mental health is health, and looking after your wellbeing is just as important as looking after your physical health. \n\nYou do not need to be in crisis to check in with yourself. You do not need the perfect words to start a conversation. \n\nA small pause is a good place to begin.
What is one idea about “being strong” that you think needs to change? Comment EBOOK and we’ll send you a free E-Book on Sunday 21st

Winter energy is not only about motivation. It is also about nourishment. When the days feel colder and heavier, your body may benefit from meals that feel steady, warm, and satisfying. A simple place to start: Protein for fullness. Fibre for digestion and steady energy. Warmth for comfort and regulation. Think soups, lentils, eggs, oats, roasted vegetables, beans, tofu, chicken, or warm grain bowls. Keep it simple. Keep it supportive. ave this for your next winter meal.

You do not need a full workout to shift your state. Sometimes, one song is enough to remind your body that it can move, soften, and reconnect. Try this today: put on one song, move gently for one minute, and notice what changes. No choreography. No pressure. Just movement that meets you where you are. \n\nMovement can be playful, grounding, and quietly powerful.
