New review from Casey: "It is honestly a big ask to put my experience at Espiral, both externally and internally, into words. What a wonderfully unique experience.
Theo, his wife Karina, Gary, and Gabrielle are nothing short of magic. My wife and I went to an Ayahuasca retreat in the Sacred Valley almost two years ago, and that is where I first met Theo during a Bufo ceremony that changed my life forever. We stayed in touch over the years, and when he told me he was creating retreats of his own, we could not sign up fast enough.
Our first retreat was a great experience and gave us a lot of variety, but it was much larger and faster paced. There just was not as much time to really dial into each person individually outside of the group setting.
Espiral was the exact opposite.
They took the time to really get to know each person and what they needed. Sometimes that was sound healing or energy work. Sometimes it was integration, music, love and support, or simply sitting in the garden having a peaceful conversation. I have honestly never felt so much love, understanding, and acceptance in one place, whether I was working with the medicine or completely sober.
Wachuma was also completely different from Ayahuasca for me. You spend the day outside, in the gardens, in the maloca, walking around, talking, reflecting, or lying in the dome completely immersed in beautiful music while looking out at the mountains and the Sacred Valley.
I found it much easier to process things because when something came up, you had the ability to talk about it, ask questions, walk around, or just sit with it. With Ayahuasca, you can have five hours of incredibly intense experiences during the night and then find yourself at three in the morning trying to understand everything that just happened. Wachuma gave me the space to work through things as they were happening.
And the music... wow.
I was completely in awe of their voices and how talented they were with the different instruments. There was such a beautiful balance of masculine and feminine energy, and somehow the music always seemed to be exactly what was needed in that moment.
You can also tell very quickly that this is not just a business for them. They genuinely care about healing and about the people who come there. You feel that in everything they do. It really felt like their purpose was bigger than simply hosting retreats. It felt like they were trying to elevate the collective, one soul at a time.
The sound healing and energy work were something I was not prepared for. I went into it pretty open minded, but I was amazed by how physically real it felt. At certain points I could literally feel heaviness and negative energy being pulled from my body.
For me, it felt like decades of absorbing other people's negativity, emotions, expectations, and energy were finally being filtered and released. Almost like clearing out everything that no longer belonged there so I could tune into a higher frequency.
It has only been about a week since we returned, and I can already see a huge positive change in my wife. And personally, I cannot remember the last time I felt this light.
I am incredibly thankful to Theo, Karina, Gary, and Gabrielle for everything they gave us during our time there. The love, the music, the conversations, the healing, and simply the way they showed up for everyone.
I cannot thank them enough.
If you feel called to this kind of experience, I would absolutely encourage you to visit Espiral. I am incredibly grateful that we did."
