👶 NAPPY RASH: SIMPLE TIPS FOR PARENTS 🩹
Nappy rash is very common in babies and can make little ones uncomfortable and irritable. The good news is that mild cases can often improve with simple skin care at home.
Helpful Tips for Managing Nappy Rash:
✔ Change nappies frequently
✔ Gently clean the area with warm water
✔ Avoid harsh soaps and heavily scented wipes
✔ Pat the skin dry, avoid rubbing
✔ Allow some nappy-free time for the skin to breathe
✔ Apply a barrier cream (such as zinc oxide and I highly recommend Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly) to protect the skin
When To Seek Medical Advice:
⚠ Rash becomes severe or spreads
⚠ Blisters, pus, or broken skin appear
⚠ Baby develops fever
⚠ Rash does not improve after a few days
⚠ Baby seems very uncomfortable or in pain
Not all rashes are the same. Some may need antifungal or other treatment prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Healthy skin starts with gentle care and early attention 💙
