Dugo ng Abulugueños, para sa Abulugueños! 🩸
Calling all Abulugueños!
The RHU Abulug, in partnership with the Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center, warmly invites you to our Blood Letting Activity this Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Abulug Health Center, Libertad. This is your chance to make a life-changing impact—drop by drop.
Donating blood is more than helping others—it’s a gift that benefits both you and the recipient. Each donation comes with a mini health check for you, as your blood is screened, while your body regenerates fresh, healthy blood cells. Regular donors also enjoy better heart health, balanced iron levels, and the profound joy of knowing they’ve made a difference. Meanwhile, the blood you donate becomes a lifeline for patients in emergencies, surgeries, or chronic illnesses—potentially touching multiple lives: your family, friends, a child, an elderly neighbor, or even a stranger in urgent need. True heroes don’t always wear capes; sometimes, they simply roll up their sleeves, knowing that their small act of courage and kindness can truly change lives.
🩸 Ready to Save Lives?
Here’s How You Can Donate Blood! 🩸
You can give blood if you:
• Are in good health and feeling well on the day of donation
• Are 16 to 65 years old
• Weigh at least 50 kg
• Have blood pressure within: Systolic 90–160 mmHg / Diastolic 60–100 mmHg
• Pass the physical and health history assessment
Note: The final eligibility decision is made by the medical staff after a confidential health screening.
Before donating, make sure to:
• Get enough rest—sleep at least 6 hours
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior
• Refrain from smoking before donation
• Do not take medications for at least 24 hours prior
• Eat a healthy meal beforehand (avoid fatty/oily food)
• Stay hydrated—drink plenty of fluids
This April 22, give a small pinch, spare a few minutes, and take part in an act of kindness that truly saves lives. Let’s show that Abulugueños care deeply for one another—because giving blood is more than a donation; it’s a gift of hope, love, and community.
