Fr. Jerry reminds us that one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is to take good care of our health. Our body and mind are gifts from God, and caring for them allows us to live, serve, love, and fulfill our responsibilities with greater strength.

Taking care of our health is not only about eating well, exercising, resting, or seeking medical care when needed. We also need to care for our emotional well-being. Constant stress, anger, fear, and carrying too many worries can make life feel heavier than it needs to be.

There are times when we become so busy caring for responsibilities that we forget to care for ourselves. Rest when you need to rest. Make time for prayer, quiet moments, and things that bring healthy peace to your heart. Taking care of yourself is not selfish when it helps you become stronger and more present in the life God has given you.

So value your health while you still have it. Care for your body, protect your peace, and bring your worries to God in prayer. Ask Him for the wisdom to live wisely and the grace to take care of the life He has entrusted to you.
