Two meaningful days of learning, counseling, and quality family planning services have officially wrapped up! 🎉

On August 27–28, 2026, the Albuera Rural Health Unit Staff headed by the Municipal Health Officer- Dr. Twinkle Ann de la Cruz celebrated the Family Planning Month Celebration in Albuera Super Health Center.

✨ Highlights of our 2-day celebration included:

💜 Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA)
💜 Family Planning counseling and health education
💜 Open discussions and sharing of accurate information
💜 Empowering women and couples to make informed choices for their families

More than the services provided, these two days reminded us that family planning starts with a conversation. When couples and families have the right information and access to quality services, they are empowered to plan their future and make decisions that are right for them. 🫶

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the clients, mothers, couples, health workers, barangay partners, and everyone who contributed to the success of this celebration. 💐

Two days. Many stories. Informed choices. Healthier families. 💜

📍 Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) | MRSIA 2026

On the 3rd week of the Intensive Phase of MRSIA 2026 Phase III, the Albuera Rural Health Unit welcomed the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Team of Leyte, who conducted Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) in selected barangays of the Municipality of Albuera.

The monitoring team visited three barangays — Brgy. Poblacion, Brgy. San Pedro, and Brgy. Tabgas — to assess the implementation of MRSIA, verify vaccination status among eligible children, and identify children who may have been missed during the vaccination activities.

The RCM also provided an opportunity to review the availability and utilization of monitoring tools and validate the reported vaccination accomplishments at the community level.

Following the field monitoring, a feedbacking session was conducted with the presence of NIP Coordinator- Myra Antigua, RN, HEPO Coordinator- Susitte Velarde, RN and Municipal Health Officer Dr. Twinkle Ann De la Cruz. The PHO Team shared their observations, findings, and recommendations to further strengthen the implementation of MRSIA Phase III in Albuera.

💉 Every visit matters. Every child counts. Every missed child deserves a chance to be protected.

Together, let us continue working towards higher vaccination coverage and a safer, measles-rubella-free community. ❤️

📸 IN PHOTOS | AUGUST 24, 2026

Another day, another step toward protecting our children! 💉👶❤️

📍 Barangay Damulaan
📍 Barangay Seguinon
📍 Barangay Benolho
📍 Barangay Balugo
📍 Barangay Poblacion

Our team continues to reach out to eligible children who were not vaccinated during the previous schedules. Through these mop-up activities, we are making every effort to ensure that no eligible child is left behind. 💪❤️

To all parents and guardians whose children have not yet received their MR-SIA vaccine, please take this opportunity to have them vaccinated when our health workers visit your area.

💉 Protect your children. Get reliable information. Get them vaccinated.

Padayon ang atong MOP-UP activities aron mas daghan pa nga mga bata ang maprotektahan batok sa measles ug rubella (tipdas ug dap).

Together, let’s make Albuera a healthier and safer community for every child! ❤️💉

📢 WE CONTINUE TO REACH EVERY CHILD!

We understand that some parents may still have concerns because of the fake news and misleading information circulating on social media.

💉 MR-SIA CAMPAIGN CONTINUES IN ALBUERA! ❤️

📸 IN PHOTOS | AUGUST 18, 2026

Another busy and productive day for the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) here in Albuera! 💉👏

Today’s scheduled vaccination activity was conducted in Barangay Cambalading, including a catch-up vaccination in Sitio Macagpo, Brgy. Cambalading.

Our team also continued our mop-up activities in:
📍 Barangay Talisayan
📍 Barangay Balugo
📍 Barangay Poblacion

Meanwhile, our regular Monthly Immunization was also conducted in Barangay Tinag-an. ❤️

📢 WE ARE GOING THE EXTRA MILE TO REACH EVERY CHILD.

One of the biggest challenges we are facing during this campaign is the impact of fake news and misleading viral videos circulating on social media.

We know that many parents in Albuera are very willing to have their children vaccinated. But because of misinformation seen online, some parents have become hesitant or afraid. As a result, our health workers now have to go house-to-house and personally reach families just to provide correct information and encourage them to protect their children.

Mga inahan ug ginikanan, please don’t let a Facebook post or viral video make the decision for your child’s health. ❤️

Kung adunay information nga inyong nakita online nga nakapahadlok ninyo, pangutana sa inyong health workers and trusted health professionals before believing or sharing it.

💉 This week, our MOP-UP activities are still ongoing!

For those children who have not yet received their Measles-Rubella vaccine, please take this opportunity to have them vaccinated.

Pabakunahi ang inyong mga anak. Salig sa sakto nga impormasyon. Salig sa atong health workers. 💉❤️

Together, let us make sure that no eligible child in Albuera is left unprotected.
