As part of the continuing efforts of the Office of the Student Regent (OSR) and the University Student Council (USC), in coordination with the Office of Student Welfare and Formation โ€“ Medical and Dental Unit, free medical check-ups and medicines are being made available to students who are stranded in their dormitories and may be feeling unwell across the university including regular campuses.

Students experiencing sickness, discomfort, or any health-related concern are encouraged to visit their Clinic for proper assessment and medical assistance.

The University remains committed to ensuring that, even in times when students are unable to return home, their health, safety, and well-being remain a priority.

Because being stranded should never mean being left behind.

๐Ÿ“ข HEALTH ADVISORY: LEPTOSPIROSIS PREVENTION ๐Ÿ“ข

With the ongoing rainy season and potential flooding, the Pampanga State University โ€“ Health Services Unit reminds all students, faculty, and staff to take necessary precautions against Leptospirosis.

Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection contracted through contact with water, soil, or food contaminated with the urine of infected animals, particularly rats.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Key Prevention Tips:
Avoid wading or swimming in floodwater whenever possible.
If wading is unavoidable, wear protective gear (e.g., rubber boots, gloves).
Keep cuts and wounds clean, covered, and protected.
Wash thoroughly with clean water and soap after any exposure to floodwater.
Practice proper waste management to prevent rat infestation.
โš ๏ธ Important: Do not self-medicate with antibiotics. If you experience fever, muscle pain, headaches, red eyes, or other symptoms following flood exposure, seek immediate medical care from a healthcare professional.

Stay safe and protected, PSUans! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™
