In celebration of Nutrition Month with the theme โNutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan,โ the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Arteche, Eastern Samar, through the Municipal Nutrition Action Office (MNAO), conducted meaningful activities promoting proper nutrition, environmental care, food security, and community involvement.
The celebration was made possible through the support and dedication of Municipal Mayor Susana M. Evardone, Hon. Eloise Melloney P. Evardone, RN, Chairman of Barangay Garden, and Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Antonio Luceres.
The activities highlighted the Backyard Gardening Session and distribution of seedlings to target participants with the theme โFrom Plot to Plate: The Nutrition in Your Backyard,โ encouraging families to grow nutritious food at home. It also featured the Feeding Program through Arozkaldo Distribution and the Community Pantry of Fruits and Vegetables, โAni ng Bayan, Alay sa Kalusugan,โ promoting the value of accessible, healthy, and sustainable food choices.
Together, we continue to nurture healthier families, protect our environment, and strengthen community efforts toward a healthier Arteche.
