🚨Empowering young minds for safety and resilience~~

The School Health Awareness Response for Emergency and Disaster (SHARED) Club successfully conducted its Outreach Program LEAD AND SAVE: BASIC FIRST AID SKILLS FOR YOUNG HEROES on January 30, 2026 at Sapaan Elementary School, promoting preparedness, health awareness, and community resilience in times of emergency and disaster.

The Basic Life Support Symposium was conducted at ANCHS–SHS on January 15, 2026 in collaboration with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

Through the guidance of Sir John Phillip V. Lasheras, staff member of MDRRMO’s operations and warnings section, the session on Basic Life Support was effectively delivered, complemented by live demonstrations from MDRRMO-certified volunteers.

Essential knowledge on rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was clearly explained by the guest speaker, together with Sir Mark Jaymer Sarte, Malbert Dapula, Danny Demora, and John Lloyd Roldan, ensuring that students gained practical and reliable information.

The SHARED Club adviser, officers, and core members expresses their gratitude for the valuable insights and skills shared by the facilitators, as well as for the active participation of STEM students and representatives from each section. Their involvement highlighted the importance of being equipped with Basic Life Support skills for preparedness in emergencies. This activity would not be possible without the guidance, support, approval and supervision of Sir Rodante De Castro, Assistant Principal II.

Introduction to DRRM, Basic Life Support and Standard First-Aid symposium held at ANCHS– SHS this 21st of February 2025 along with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

Sir Raniel Joseph P. Billanes, EMT-B, MDRM, MDRRMO operations and warnings section head also discussed the four pillars of DRRM and shared his expertise about the importance of every DRRM offices to our community, as well as tackling the salient features of RA 10121.

With the helpful assistance given by Sir John Phillip V. Lasheras, MDRRMO staff at the operations and warnings section, the discussion about basic life support and standard first-aid was successfully presented alongside with the demonstration done by the MDRRMO certified volunteers.

The knowledge about the rescue breathing, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, bandaging, and lifting and moving was greatly delivered through the valid information provided by our guest speaker.

SHARED advisers, officers, and core members gratefully appreciated their presence and teachings, as well as towards the participation of the students from 12th grade of STEM and GAS which would help them understand the importance of the subject Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction (DRRR).
