Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) | August 21, 2026

One of the challenges we face today is the influence of misinformation and false information on social media, which can create fear and hesitation among mothers, fathers, and guardians when it comes to vaccinating their children.
But despite these challenges, we continue to provide facts, correct information, and health education. We continue to serve because the health and future of every child matter.

Even under the heat of the sun, our healthcare workers, BHWs, BNS and Brgy. Official continue to do their best to reach every child. We will not stop until no child is left behind. 💪☀️

To all mothers, fathers, and guardians of children 6 months to 59 months old:

💉 Please do not be afraid of the vaccine.

📚 Get information from trusted health professionals.

❤️ Have your child vaccinated and protected against measles and rubella.

🌱 Protect your child today to protect their future tomorrow.

🎉 MEASLES-RUBELLA SUPPLEMENTAL IMMUNIZATION ACTIVITY (MR-SIA) LAUNCHING 💉❤️

Today, August 10, 2026, the RHU Babatngon successfully conducted the launching of the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) at Pabahay, Brgy. District 1, Babatngon, Leyte, led by our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Julieta C. Conge.

👶 A total of 118 children were vaccinated with the Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine and given Vitamin A supplementation. This activity is a significant step toward protecting our children from measles and rubella and promoting a healthier community.

💐 Our heartfelt gratitude to our partners and supporters:

❤️ LGU Babatngon, headed by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Eleonor B. Lugnasin, for the thoughtful food packs given to the first five mothers who arrived early at the vaccination site.

❤️ Hon. Jay Anthony D. Macawile, Punong Barangay, Hon. Mercedes Espares, Committee on Health, and the Barangay Council of Brgy. District 1, for providing snacks and lunch to the teams who conducted the activity—our dedicated health care workers, BHWs and volunteers.

❤️ To the BHWs, BNSs, and BSPOs of Brgy. District 1, District 3, and District 4, thank you for your invaluable assistance and support.

❤️ Most especially, thank you to all the parents and guardians who brought their children to the vaccination site and supported this important health activity. Your cooperation is essential in keeping our children safe and healthy. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💕

Together, let us continue to protect our children and build a healthier, safer, and measles-rubella-free Babatngon!

🌿🍎 NUTRI-PARADE 2026 🍎🌿
"Healthy Kids, Healthy Planet"
"Sa PPAN, Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat para sa Lahat: Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Alagaan."

As part of the Nutrition Month Celebration and the 125th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Babatngon, the LGU Babatngon, under the leadership of Hon. Eleonor B. Lugnasin, in partnership with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Babatngon headed by Dr. Julieta C. Conge, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) led by Ms. Jeshella E. Roxas, successfully conducted the Nutri-Parade 2026.

The activity showcased the creativity, teamwork, and commitment of our Child Development Workers (CDWs), parents, and ECCD learners from the different barangays, promoting the importance of proper nutrition and environmental stewardship through colorful costumes, inspiring slogans, and lively participation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished Board of Judges:
