We are thrilled to announce our first speaker for the second day: DR. JOAN MAE PEREZ-RIFAREAL.

She is a Medical Specialist II and the current Resident Training Officer at Veterans Memorial Medical Center, and as well as a visiting consultant at the Lung Center of the Philippines.

Dr. Perez-Rifareal is a Module Coordinator and a Subject Expert in Psychiatry at the Ateneo School of Medicine and is also a member of the Faculty of the Health Sciences Program in the School of Science and Engineering - Ateneo de Manila University.

Our third speaker is DR. NINA CONSORCIA T. CASTILLO-CARANDANG

She is a Professor of Health Sociology and Global Health in
the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, College of Medicine, University of the Philippines (UP) Manila.

Dr. Castillo-Carandang bears academic qualifications in
clinical epidemiology and health social science. She is the 1st and only sociologist who has been given a tenured faculty position in the U.P. College of Medicine (UPCM) since its founding in 1905. She is the current holder of UPCM’s Sariel & Andie Ablaza Professorial Chair for Social Sciences and Global Health.

He is the Division Chief of the Health Facility Development Bureau, Department of Health.

Dr. Antonio's line of work includes developing Policies, Plans, and Programs related to Health Facility Operations and Management, providing technical assistance to health facilities, and advising the Director, Undersecretary, and Secretary of Health on matters pertaining to standards for health facility operations.
