PM₂.₅ may be tiny, but its impact on health can be significant. 🫁

Stay informed and protect yourself 😷 when air quality is poor.

🫁 WHY IS PM₂.₅ DANGEROUS TO OUR LUNGS?

Fine particulate matter (PM₂.₅) is so small that it can travel deep into the respiratory system, reaching the alveoli—the tiny air sacs where oxygen enters the blood.

When inhaled, these particles can:
🔴 Irritate and inflame the airways
🔴 Trigger coughing, wheezing, and difficulty breathing
🔴 Worsen asthma, COPD, and other lung conditions
🔴 Impair the lungs’ natural defenses
🔴 With prolonged exposure, increase the risk of serious lung and cardiovascular diseases

At an AQI of 171 (Very Unhealthy), protecting our respiratory health becomes especially important.

Stay indoors when air quality is poor, limit outdoor exertion, avoid heavy-traffic areas, and use a well-fitted N95/KN95 mask when going outside.
