The City Government of Bago, through the Bago City Primary Care Facility (PCF) DRRM-H program, successfully completed the Health Emergency Response Operations (HERO) Training held on May 25–29, 2026, at the Bago City Community Center.

This comprehensive 5-day training equipped our frontline heroesβ€”including doctors, nurses, other allied health professionals and administrative teams from the Bago City PCF, Bago City Hospital, DOH NDP, and the DOH NIR CHD - DRRMH Operations Centerβ€”with advanced emergency management skills.

By investing in continuous institutional training, Bago City advances closer to its Universal Health Care milestones, ensuring swift, unified, and life-saving responses when disasters strike.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the esteemed pool of facilitators from the DOH Health Emergency Management Bureau (HEMB), DOH NIR Center for Health Development, Provincial Health Office (PHO), and the Bago City Primary Care Facility (PCF). Their invaluable expertise, dedication, and guidance were instrumental in the successful delivery of this vital training, significantly strengthening our local health emergency management systems.

Preparedness is more than just a protocol; it's a commitment to protecting the lives of those we serve. Thank you to everyone who stepped up and completed the HERO training. All for a resilient Bago City!

The Department of Health (DOH) Negros Island Region conducted a three-day Supportive Supervision and Monitoring activity for the National Immunization Program on May 19–21, 2026 in selected City Health Offices (CHO) and Rural Health Units (RHU) across Negros, including Talisay City CHO, Bago CHO, Bacolod CHO, Valladolid RHU, Cauayan RHU, and Ilog RHU.

The activity aimed to strengthen the implementation of immunization services through monitoring, assessment, and provision of technical assistance to local health facilities. The supervising team reviewed program accomplishments, validated reports and records, assessed vaccine management and cold chain practices, and evaluated compliance with existing immunization guidelines and standards.

Technical assistance and recommendations were provided to address identified gaps in data management, reporting, defaulter tracking, and overall program implementation. The visits also served as an opportunity to reinforce coordination and collaboration between the DOH Negros Island Region and local health personnel in ensuring effective and quality immunization services for the community.

Overall, the activity was productive in identifying operational concerns, recognizing good practices, and strengthening the delivery of immunization services across the covered health facilities.

🚦 BUCKLE UP! Don't Test Your Luck.

In line with the celebration of Road Safety Month this May, the City Government of Bagoβ€”through the Bago City Primary Care Facility - Violence and Injury Prevention Programβ€”successfully hosted the Basic Road Safety Orientation and Post-Crash Care Summit 2026 on May 22, 2026 at the Community Center, Bago City.

This vital initiative aims to raise traffic law awareness, promote responsible driving habits, and reduce road fatalities within our community.

The summit brought together a dedicated network of local heroes and stakeholders, including: First Responders from the OCDRRMO, Traffic Enforcers from the CMO-Traffic Management Division, Uniformed Personnel from the BFP and PNP, Community Drivers from various TODAs, and Health personnel from the Bago PCF

The event's success was driven by the invaluable expertise of our distinguished resource speakers from the:

Department of Health Negros Island Region Center for Health Development, Provincial Health Office, Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Highway Patrol Group (HPG).

Road safety is a shared responsibility. Let’s make safe driving a daily habit, not just a monthly campaign.

Drive safe, Bago City!
