PASS THE TOTAL BAN - Today, May 6, Smoke-Free Task Force Co-Chairperson and City Health Officer Dr. Celia Flor C. Brillantes delivers a powerful message on behalf of Smoke-Free Task Force Chairperson Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong during the public hearing by the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, jointly with the Committee on Trade, Commerce and Entrepreneurship.

Highlighting years of local enforcement and data, Dr. Brillantes presented the reality we face here in Baguio City: cigarette smoking has declined, but va**ng continues to rise, especially among the youth, driven largely by online access and aggressive marketing.

We reiterate our position: regulation alone is not enough. In the pursuit of the protection of our children, families, and communities, Baguio City calls for decisive national action: Pass the Total V**e Ban.
