Mental health is a fundamental human right and it's essential for socioeconomic, communal, and personal growth. More than the absence of mental diseases defines mental wellness. It is experienced differently from person to person along a complex continuum, with varied levels of difficulty and distress as well as potentially very different social and clinical effects.

Daily application of sunscreen to sun-exposed skin is necessary but not excessive.

"The sun's UV rays are potent, and just 15 minutes outside is enough exposure to cause damage and potentially skin cancer long-term," says Jessica "Nikki" Dietert, MD, a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified and board-certified fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon with Westlake Dermatology in Austin.

According to Dietert, forms of cancer brought on by exposure to the sun can be solid and harmful if untreated for too long. However, the best medicine is prevention.

Dietert advises daily applying sunscreen to your face, neck, chest, ears, hands, and arms to avoid long-term sun damage.

Skin cancers are caused by too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light, especially during summer when temperatures are high. Ultraviolet radiation absorbed by living cells damages sensitive substances that influence the skin's average growth and appearance. Damage can result in sunburn, increased skin aging rate, and skin cancer.

Spending time outside is a great way to be physically active, get vitamin D, and work and play outdoors without raising the risk of skin cancer. There are many ways to reduce the risk of sun damage and skin cancer by selecting the proper clothing and using sunscreen and sunglasses that block UV Rays.

As a result, it is critical to emphasize developing and keeping great friendships as part of a healthy lifestyle.
