EMPOWERING YOUNG GIRLS THROUGH PROTECTION AND AWARENESS

In celebration of CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH, the Bangui District Hospital – Public Health Unit successfully conducted its Health Education Activity during the Medical Mission last May 2, 2026.

This initiative was made possible through the strong partnership of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, Provincial Health Office, and the Lady Local Legislators’ League of the Philippines (4L) – Region 1, whose shared commitment drives the Cervical Cancer Elimination Agenda forward.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Iris Rae Santos for delivering an engaging and informative lecture on HPV and Cervical Cancer, empowering our young girls and their parents with knowledge on prevention and early protection. 🎓

Through this collaborative effort, we continue to safeguard the health of our future generation through:
💉 HPV Immunization
📚 Health Education and Awareness

To our partners, parents, and participants—thank you for being part of this meaningful advocacy. Together, we build a healthier, more informed community.

Ngayong National Hemophilia Awareness Month, let’s take a moment to learn, share, and care. 🩸

❤️ Tag someone who should know more about this.

Congratulations to Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMHMC) on 10 years of the Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS) — a decade of bringing hope, urgent care, and second chances to the most fragile patients.

For ten years, NETS has bridged distances and critical gaps in newborn care, ensuring that babies who need specialized treatment can reach it in time. Behind every transport is a team whose skill, compassion, and commitment help turn life-threatening moments into stories of survival.

Your work has saved countless newborn lives and strengthened neonatal care across our region. May the next decade continue to expand this lifesaving mission and bring even more babies safely home.

Congratulations on this remarkable milestone! 👶🚑💙

Smiles, learning, and little hands practicing the right brushing technique 🪥✨

Here are some snapshots from our “DENTISTA’Y KAAGAPAY SA NGITING WALANG HUMPAY” Oral Health Awareness Campaign” at Bangui Suyo Elementary School.

This meaningful activity was headed by Dr. Ronnie Gonzales and the BDH Dental Team, in cooperation with the Philippine Dental Association, Ilocos Norte Chapter, and the BDH Public Health Unit (PHU). 🦷💙

From engaging discussions and demonstrations to oral health screenings, fluoride applications, and sealants—each moment was a step toward brighter, healthier smiles.

Seeing the students actively participate and eager to learn reminds us that prevention truly starts early. Together, we are building a community of confident smiles, one child at a time.

Thank you to the school administrators, headed by Mrs Marjorie Lopez; teachers, and students for your warm welcome and active participation. Together, we continue building a community of healthy, confident smiles! 😊

Faith and Healing: A Day of Worship and Fellowship

The Bangui District Hospital Public Health Unit, in collaboration with the Northern Ilocandia Mission District of the United Methodist Church, came together for a meaningful day of worship, reflection, and fellowship.

This worship and fellowship reminded us that beyond our roles as doctors, nurses, and staff, we are stewards of God—entrusted with the sacred responsibility of caring for life. In the midst of busy shifts and heavy responsibilities, we were given space to pause, pray, and be spiritually renewed.

As we continue our Lenten journey, may we embrace our calling with compassion, humility, and faith—serving not only with skilled hands, but with hearts anchored in God’s grace.

✨ Bangui District Hospital Shines at the 2025 Bangui Holiday Light Up! ✨

We’re proud to win 2nd Place at the Bangui Lantern Contest! Our BDH family had so much fun designing the parol, crafting it from recycled hospital materials, and joining the parade together. 💚🎄

Our parol symbolizes hope, healing, and community strength. Painted X-ray films form its radiant cover, IV tubings create guiding rays, broken vials come together as a mosaic of transformation, and IV bottles bloom like flowers—each piece showing how simple things, handled with care, can shine brightly. ✨

At the center sits a Belen, framed by the Bangui windmills and Sentinella Hills, celebrating our identity, culture, and faith. This parol is our tribute to the people of Bangui—resilient, creative, and united. 🌟
