𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 (𝙋𝙒𝘿𝙨)

As part of the 51st Nutrition Month Celebration, the Provincial Nutrition Office, in coordination with the Baras Nutrition Office, successfully conducted a Nutrition Education Session for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Baras Multipurpose Building.

The activity aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge on proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices, emphasizing the importance of adequate nutrition in maintaining good health, preventing nutrition-related illnesses, and improving the overall well-being of senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

The Baras Nutrition Office expresses its sincere appreciation to the Provincial Nutrition Office for spearheading this meaningful initiative and extends its gratitude to all participants for their active participation and support in promoting better nutrition and healthier communities.

Mommy, sa unang 6 na buwan ni baby, sapat na ang breastmilk! 🤱💖

Walang kapantay ang gatas ng ina pagdating sa nutrisyon, kalinisan, at proteksyon laban sa sakit. Narito ang ilan sa mahahalagang benepisyo ng breastfeeding:
👶 Para kay baby: sapat sa nutrients, ligtas at madaling tunawin, may natural na antibodies na panlaban sa nakahahawang sakit, at pinalalakas ang ugnayan ni mommy at baby.
🤱 Para kay mommy: libre at nakatutulong sa mas mabilis na pag-recover mula sa panganganak!

Bigyang halaga ang eksklusibong pagpapasuso para sa mas malusog na simula ng buhay ni baby. Kasama ng National Nutrition Council ang Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project o PMNP sa pagsiguro sa isang malakas at malusog na First 1,000 Days!

The Municipality of Baras proudly celebrates another remarkable achievement as 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙯 for Barangay Nutrition Scholars, held earlier today at the Provincial Capitol Dome.

Competing against representatives from all 11 municipalities of Catanduanes, the 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙨 proudly emerged as the 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣, earning the 1𝙨𝙩 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 title through the outstanding performance of its Barangay Nutrition Scholars.

Representing the municipality with excellence were 𝙈𝙨. 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙝 𝙏𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙨. 𝙈𝙖. 𝙂𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙊𝙨𝙢𝙚ñ𝙖, whose knowledge, dedication, and commitment to nutrition advocacy led Baras to this well-deserved victory.🏆

The award was received together with the Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) Designate, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙈𝙖. 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙍. 𝘼𝙩𝙪𝙣. 🥇

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our beloyed 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙧, 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙤𝙡𝙤 𝙋. 𝙏𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙄𝙄𝙄, for his steadfast support and commitment to strengthening the municipality's nutrition programs. Alam mo bang long-term ang epekto sa First 1,000 days? Kapag mahina ang pag-aalaga sa unang dalawang taon ng buhay ng bata - may epekto ito sa kinabukasan niya. 😢

Ngayong Nutrition Month, ipagpatuloy natin ang pag-aalaga sa health and nutrition ng ating mga bata. Una na dito ang pagtawag ng atensyon sa delay ng implementing rules ng RA 12199, mula sa Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council.
