To all freshmen with scheduled appointments for the Entrance Medical Examination:

Please be informed that students who fail to appear on their scheduled appointment date (β€œNO SHOW”) will have their appointment automatically removed from the system at the end of the scheduled date. This will allow you to set up a new appointment and choose a later available schedule that is more convenient for you.

In addition, before coming to the UHS for your Entrance Medical Examination, please make sure that all required laboratory and X-ray results are COMPLETE and properly signed:

βœ” Laboratory Results β€” must be duly signed by the Pathologist and Medical Technologist
βœ” X-ray Results β€” must be duly signed by the Radiologic Technologist (RadTech) and Radiologist

Please ensure that all documents are complete before proceeding to UHS to avoid delays and inconvenience.

πŸ“ All concerned students are advised to report to the University Health Service (UHS) on their respective schedules and comply with the required procedures and documents.

Please note that the UHS will not conduct medical examinations during university-wide activities and declared holidays.

Welcome, VSU Freshmen Qualifiers Academic Year 2026-2027!

Please be advised that one of the requirements before enrollment is the Medical Certificate issued by the University Health Services (UHS).

Before the issuance of your medical certificate, you are required to submit the following laboratory and diagnostic results:

1. Complete Blood Count (CBC)
2. Urinalysis
3. Fecalysis
4. Chest X-ray (PA view)

Kindly ensure that all laboratory results are properly signed by a licensed Pathologist and conducted in a DOH-accredited facility. Likewise, the Chest X-ray result must be interpreted and signed by a licensed Radiologist.

Before proceeding to the University Health Service (UHS), all students must first secure an appointment through the VSU Student Portal (Cumulus). Please ensure that you have a confirmed appointment schedule before your visit. UHS strictly follows the assigned appointment schedule to avoid delays and maintain an orderly process.

On the day of your appointment, please bring the following:

1. Complete laboratory and X-ray results
2. Face mask
3. Water bottle or water tumbler
4. Clean long white folder
5. Blue or black ballpen
6. Students with existing medical conditions (such as heart problems, orthopedic conditions, or other health concerns that UHS should be informed of) must bring an updated Medical Certificate issued by their private physician.

Please arrive early for your scheduled appointment.

Below are the scheduled dates for the medical examination. Please note that there will be no operations on June 12, 2026, in observance of a holiday. In addition, the University Health Service (UHS) will be conducting a Psychological First Aid Training on June 18–19, 2026.

Dear Viscans,

We want to inform everyone that the VSU Student Portal (Cumulus) has recently been updated. Following the opening of AY 2026–2027, we noticed that some students were marked as β€œNot Cleared” under the Medical Examination section, which currently hinders summer enrollment.

Please be assured that we have already coordinated this concern with the MIS Department for resolution. Kindly note that summer enrollment does NOT require a medical examination.

Furthermore, for students who have already completed their medical examination requirements for the upcoming enrollment, your portal status will be cleared before enrollment, provided that you have no pending obligations with the University Health Service (UHS), such as:
β€’ Unsettled payments
β€’ Incomplete laboratory requirements
β€’ Pending X-ray results
β€’ Medical Certificates from your attending physicians for those patients who were asked during the medical examination.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while this issue is being resolved.

EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED

The current heat index falls within the Extreme Caution level. At this range, the risk of heat-related illnesses such as heat cramps and heat exhaustion increases, especially with prolonged exposure or physical activity.

Stay Safe:
β€’ Drink plenty of water
β€’ Avoid direct sunlight, especially from 10 AM–4 PM
β€’ Wear light, breathable clothing
β€’ Take frequent breaks if working outdoors
β€’ Never leave children or pets inside vehicles
