Nueva Vizcaya PRC Service Center Set to Open Soon After Appointment of New Personnel
The establishment of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Service Center at the provincial capitol is finally moving forward, following the recent appointment of two new personnel who are set to undergo training.
Dolly Rose C. Minas, head of the Public Employment Service Division and designated coordinator for the project, said the provincial government has been working to establish the PRC service center to benefit not only professionals in Nueva Vizcaya but also those from nearby provinces such as Quirino and Ifugao. Previously, applicants had to travel as far as Tuguegarao or Baguio City to renew or claim their PRC licenses.
Minas explained that the appointment of two new personnel was delayed due to the election ban during the recent polls. After the ban was lifted, Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito immediately appointed two staff members who will be assigned to the PRC service center, alongside one personnel from the PRC. The new personnel are set to undergo a one-week training before the center’s soft opening.
Governor Gambito expressed his eagerness to see the PRC Service Center operational, stating, “This has been a long-standing commitment of mine to provide accessible PRC services to our constituents. While we faced challenges with the election ban affecting personnel appointments, I am excited that we are finally moving forward. The opening of this center will greatly benefit our professionals and those from neighboring provinces.”
The provincial government has provided the office space, computers, internet connectivity, and will shoulder the salaries of the two newly hired personnel. The PRC service center will offer services such as processing new PRC licenses, renewals for walk-in clients, and the claiming of approved licenses. Online applications will still be accepted, with applicants given the option to pick up their licenses at the new service center
