In celebration of World Hearing Day, Lagos Hearing Aid Center conducted a free outreach project called “Silip Tenga Project.” This initiative aims to help children understand the importance of proper hearing care and the correct way to clean their ears. Through this program, children can learn at an early age how to protect and take care of their hearing.

The primary objective of this project is to promote early detection and timely identification of potential hearing concerns, allowing appropriate intervention and management at the earliest possible stage.

This initiative was made possible through the support and assistance of City Social Welfare and Development CSWD - City of Biñan head Ms Adora Pascual, as well as with the consent of their parents.

What is TRIAL FITTING???🤔

A trial fitting (often referred to as a hearing aid trial period) is a risk-free phase where you wear a programmed hearing aid in your daily life.

Key details about the trial period:

-Purpose: To confirm the hearing aid fits comfortably and helps you hear better in various environments (e.g., home, work, noisy restaurants).
-Process: The devices are programmed to your specific, prescribed hearing loss audiogram, and adjustments are made for comfort and sound quality.
-Benefits: It helps your brain adapt to new sounds, allowing for fine-tuning of settings and, if necessary, swapping for a different model.

A hearing aid fitting appointment may take between 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you are being fitted with an ear mould the audiologist will make sure that this is comfortable in your ear.

Trial fitting is an appointment scheduled for you after your hearing tests have been done and your hearing loss has been discussed with your Audiologist.
