*4 NA KLASE NG PAMPAHID - ALIN BA KAILANGAN MO?*

*1. ANTIFUNGAL CREAM - Pang-"AMAG"* 🍄
*Keywords sa label:* Ketoconazole, Clotrimazole, Miconazole, Terbinafine
*Para sa:* Buni, an-an, hadhad, alipunga, athlete's foot. Makati, map**a, may bilog o nagbabalat.
*Rule:* Tyagain 2-4 weeks. Pag tinigil agad, babalik yan.

*2. ANTIBIOTIC CREAM - Pang-"BACTERIA"* 🦠
*Keywords sa label:* Mupirocin, Fusidic acid, Neomycin, Bacitracin
*Para sa:* Pigsa, impetigo, sugat na may nana, namumula, mainit.
*Rule:* Hindi to para sa fungal. Pag pinahid sa buni, useless.

*3. STEROID CREAM - Pang-"PAMAMAGA/KATI"* 🔥
*Keywords sa label:* Betamethasone, Hydrocortisone, Clobetasol, Mometasone
*Para sa:* Eczema, allergy, rashes na makating-makati at namamaga.
*BABALA:* Ito yung "instant ginhawa" pero delikado. Pag nasobrahan: numinipis balat, pumuputi, nagka-stretch marks, tinutubuan ng balahibo. *Max 1-2 weeks lang. Bawal sa mukha/singit nang walang reseta.*

*4. COMBO CREAM - Pang-"Halo-halo na problema"* ⚠️
*Keywords:* May 2-3 ingredients. Ex: "Betamethasone + Clotrimazole + Gentamicin"
*Para sa:* Pag di sure kung fungi, bacteria, o namamaga lang.
*BABALA:* Kasi may steroid, same rule. Short-term use lang. Hindi pang-maintenance.

*5 GOLDEN RULES SA PAGPAPAHID:*
1. *DIAGNOSIS MUNA BAGO LUNAS.* Pag di mo sure kung fungi o bacteria, pa-check ka. Wag hulaan.
2. *LINIS BAGO PAHID.* Sabon + tubig, patuyuin. Wag sa pawis at dumi.
3. *MANIPIS LANG.* Pea-sized amount kaya i-cover buong area. Hindi cake icing yan.
4. *1 WEEK WALANG PAGBABAGO = STOP.* Mali yung gamot mo o mas malala na. Doctor na.
5. *WAG PAGHALUIN* ang mga cream "para sure". Lalo lang ma-irritate balat mo.

*❌ RED FLAGS - TAKBO KA NA SA DOCTOR PAG:*
- May nana na dilaw/berde at mabaho
- Kumakalat yung p**a at mainit
- May lagnat ka na
- Diabetic ka tapos may sugat na ayaw gumaling
- Ginagamit mo na steroid cream 2 weeks+ at numinipis na balat mo

*Tandaan: Ang balat mo hindi laboratory.*
*Yung 50 pesos na ointment, baka maging 5k na gastos pag lumala.*

Hindi lahat ng sakit, iisa ang gamot. Para safe at effective, piliin ang tama:

*PARACETAMOL*
✔ Para sa: Lagnat, mild headache, body pain
✔ Pwede inumin kahit walang laman ang tiyan
✔ First choice kung may ulcer o sensitive ang tiyan
*Paalala:* Max 4,000mg per day for adults. Wag sosobra.

*IBUPROFEN*
✔ Para sa: Dysmenorrhea, sakit ng ngipin, rayuma, pamamaga
✔ May anti-inflammatory effect
✔ *Dapat inumin with food o milk* para iwas sakit ng tiyan
*Paalala:* Iwasan kung may history ng ulcer, kidney problem, o 3rd trimester ng pregnancy.

*MEFENAMIC ACID*
✔ Para sa: Menstrual cramps, mas matinding muscle pain
✔ Usually ni-rereseta for short-term use lang
*Paalala:* Hindi for long-term daily use.

*💡 5 PHARMACIST TIPS:*
1. *Basahin ang label* - Check dosage at age limit
2. *Wag paghaluin* - Huwag pagsabayin ang Ibuprofen at Mefenamic nang walang payo ng doctor

*Naproxen: Ang ‘Tahimik Pero Matindi’ na Pain Reliever*

Masakit ang likod? Sumasakit ang ngipin? Dysmenorrhea? Si *Naproxen* ang madalas na “go-to” ng mga doktor para sa pain na ayaw tumigil agad.

*Paano ito gumagana?* 🧠
Ang Naproxen ay isang *NSAID* - non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Binablock niya yung _prostaglandins_, yung chemicals sa katawan na nagdudulot ng pamamaga, lagnat, at sakit. Kaya hindi lang siya pang-pawala ng sakit, pang-bawas din ng pamamaga.

*Saan siya sobrang effective:*
- *Arthritis at rayuma* - OA, rheumatoid arthritis, gout attack
- *Dysmenorrhea* - Mas malakas at mas matagal vs ibuprofen para sa menstrual cramps
- *Muscle pain & sprain* - Likod, leeg, pilay
- *Headache at migraine* - Lalo na kung may kasamang pamamaga
- *Toothache* - Habang naghihintay ng dental appointment

*Bakit “amazing” si Naproxen vs iba?*
1. *Mas matagal ang epekto* - 8 to 12 hours isang inuman, vs ibuprofen na 4-6 hours lang. Kaya “twice a day” lang usually.
2. *Malakas sa inflammation* - Hindi lang pinapatay yung sakit, binabawasan talaga yung pamamaga.
3. *OTC pero pang-reseta ang lakas* - Yung 220mg naproxen sodium, nabibili kahit walang reseta sa ibang bansa. Dito sa PH, madalas need ng reseta.

*Pero ingat lang:*
- *Uminom after kumain* - Masakit sa sikmura pag walang laman ang tiyan
- *Iwasan kung may ulcer, kidney issue, o high blood* na hindi kontrolado
- *Hindi pwede isabay sa ibang NSAID* tulad ng ibuprofen o aspirin
- *Limit sa 10 days* kung self-medication lang. Pag hindi pa nawawala sakit, magpatingin na.

*Standard dose for adults:*
220mg to 550mg every 8-12 hours. Max 660mg per day kung OTC. Pero depende pa rin sa sasabihin ng doktor mo.

*Bottom line:*
Kung kailangan mo ng pain reliever na _malakas at pang-matagalan_, lalo na kung may kasamang pamamaga, panalo si Naproxen. Pero dahil malakas siya, mas kailangan din ng respeto sa dosage.

*Paalala:* Para sa accurate na gamit, dosing, at kung safe siya para sa health condition mo, kumonsulta pa rin sa doktor o pharmacist. Lalo na kung may maintenance ka o buntis/nagbe-breastfeed.
