Floodwater may look harmless, but it can carry Leptospira bacteria that can enter the body through cuts, wounds, or even the eyes, nose, and mouth.

🌧️ Avoid wading in floodwater whenever possible.
🥾 If unavoidable, wear proper protective footwear.
🧼 Wash thoroughly with clean water and soap after exposure.
🩹 Keep wounds clean and covered.
🏥 Seek medical attention if you develop fever, headache, muscle pain, chills, vomiting, or red eyes after floodwater exposure.
