Not all wrist pain is the same—and understanding the difference is key to proper treatment.

1️⃣ Nerve Compression ⚡️ (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - CTS)
• Sensation: Numbness, tingling, or “pins & needles”
• Location: Thumb, index, and middle fingers (palm side)
• Cause: Pressure on the median nerve

2️⃣ Tendon Inflammation 🔥 (De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis - DQTS)
• Sensation: Sharp pain, tenderness, sometimes burning
• Location: Base of the thumb and radial side of the wrist
• Cause: Irritation of the thumb tendons

👉 Same area, completely different causes—so treatment should never be one-size-fits-all.
