Why do we need to act now? Because we cannot afford inaction.
The world is already falling behind on its commitments to health, gender equality, and justice, and governments and institutions must be held accountable.๐
With only a few years left before 2030, preventable maternal deaths remain high, inequalities continue to widen, and millions are still denied access to essential healthcare and sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice (SRHRJ). At the same time, climate crisis, conflict, economic instability, authoritarianism, and anti-rights movements are weakening already under-resourced health systems and pushing marginalized communities further behind.
These overlapping crises are not separate from one another. They are deeply interconnected, and their impacts are felt most by women, girls, and gender-diverse people.
This , we affirm that health and SRHRJ are essential, not optional. Governments must uphold their commitments, strengthen public health systems, and protect the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of all. โ๐
