DOH: MAG-INGAT SA FLASH FLOOD DULOT NG MALAKAS NA ULAN

Sa huling ulat ng DOST-PAGASA, may dalawang LPA na binabantayan sa loob at labas ng PAR. Dala nito ang malalakas na ulan pwedeng magdulot ng biglaang pagbaha o flash flood sa ilang lugar.

'Pag nasa panganib, ipinapaalala ng DOH na:

✅ Lumikas agad at sumunod sa abiso ng barangay o LGU, lalo na kung nakatira sa tabing-ilog o dagat.
✅ Ilayo ang mga bata sa baha, kanal, sapa, at ilog.
✅ ‘Wag tumawid, maglakad, o magmaneho sa rumaragasang baha.
✅ Mag-ingat sa mga butas sa kalsada at kapag naglalakad sa gilid ng mga ilog o sapa.
✅ Iwasan ang pag-inom at pagbebenta ng alak.
✅ Gumamit ng salbabida o mga gamit na maaaring magpalutang kung hindi maiiwasan lumusong sa baha.

Kung may nalulunod, tumawag agad sa National Emergency Hotline 911 o sa local emergency hotline. Kung ligtas itong gawin, magsagawa ng hands-only CPR habang naghihintay ng tulong.

’Wag lumusong sa baha. Buhay mo ang nakataya.

🥗🌿 Celebration of the 52nd Nutrition Month
Theme: “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan”
July 28, 2026 | CDOC PCC–Tablon OPD

Today, July 28, 2026, CDOC PCC–Tablon successfully celebrated the 52nd Nutrition Month through a Health Education Lecture on Pinggang Pinoy. The activity highlighted the importance of following the Pinggang Pinoy food guide to achieve a balanced diet, proper nutrition, and healthier eating habits while promoting environmental sustainability.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. John Paul L. Oliveros, Pediatric Gastroenterologist, who discussed the importance of Pinggang Pinoy in guiding families to choose the right portions of Go, Grow, and Glow foods for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The activity was facilitated by PHU Officer Katrene Maquiso, RN and HEPO Officer Azil Caalim, RN, with Assistant Training Officer Ms. Jhaleah Edullantes serving as the presider of the program.

The program was conducted in coordination with OIC Chief Nurse Maria Leah Pelayo, RN, MAN, and OPD Staff Nurse Katherine Villegas, RN.

The celebration was held under the leadership of PHU Chairman Dr. Niña Daffodil Baguio and Acting Chief of Hospital Dr. Geenen T. Macadaeg, whose continued support strengthens health promotion and community wellness initiatives.

🛡️🌏 Promotion and Awareness Activity in Observance of National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM)

In observance of National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM), held every July pursuant to Executive Order No. 29, s. 2017, a Promotion and Awareness Activity was successfully conducted today, July 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the CDOC PCC–Tablon Outpatient Department (OPD).

The activity was facilitated by Mr. Abdul Aras T. Sumandar, RN, MAN, Head of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health–Health Awareness Office Unit (DRRMH-HAOU). He emphasized the importance of disaster preparedness, climate resilience, and proactive community action to reduce the impact of natural hazards and emergencies.

The discussion highlighted key preparedness measures, including:

* 🚨 The importance of timely warnings, updated evacuation routes, and community emergency protocols.
* 🎒 Preparing a 72-hour Go Bag containing food, water, medicines, flashlights, important documents, and other emergency essentials.
* 👨‍👩‍👧 Developing a Family Emergency Plan, including designated meeting places and emergency contact persons.
* 🌊 Understanding local hazards such as flooding, storm surges, landslides, and earthquake risks.
* 🏥 Recognizing that disaster preparedness helps protect lives, livelihoods, healthcare services, and community infrastructure.

The activity was attended by OPD patients, watchers, and healthcare staff, promoting greater awareness and readiness in times of emergencies and disasters.

Together, let us strengthen our culture of preparedness and resilience. Being prepared today can save lives tomorrow.

Theme: “Know Diabetes by Heart”

Today, July 22, 2026, a Health Education Lecture was successfully conducted at CDOC PCC–Tablon OPD in celebration of Diabetic Awareness Week. The activity aimed to increase public awareness on diabetes prevention, early detection, proper blood sugar control, healthy lifestyle practices, and the importance of regular medical consultation to prevent diabetes-related complications.

The lecture was delivered by our DRRM-HAO Officer, Sir Rafael Claro Jr., RN, who shared valuable information on the causes, risk factors, signs and symptoms of diabetes, healthy nutrition, regular physical activity, medication adherence, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent and manage diabetes.

The activity was facilitated by PHU Officer Katrene Maquiso, RN and HEPO Officer Azil Caalim, RN, with Assistant Training Officer Ms. Jhaleah Edullantes serving as the presider of the program.

🚑 Bawat Segundo ay Mahalaga. Matuto ng CPR. Makapagsalba ng Buhay.

Maaaring mangyari ang cardiac emergency anumang oras at saanman. Ang kaalaman sa Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) ay makatutulong upang mapanatiling buhay ang isang tao habang hinihintay ang pagdating ng mga emergency medical responders.

🫀 Tandaan ang CAB ng CPR:
✅ C – Chest Compressions (Pagdiin sa Gitna ng Dibdib)
✅ A – Airway (Pagbukas ng Daanan ng Hangin)
✅ B – Breathing (Pagbibigay ng Rescue Breaths kung may tamang pagsasanay)

📌 Tumawag agad sa Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at gumamit ng Automated External Defibrillator (AED) kung ito ay available.

💙 Maging Handa. Magkaroon ng Kaalaman. Maging Tagapagligtas ng Buhay.

Sama-sama nating palakasin ang kamalayan sa CPR upang mas marami tayong buhay na mailigtas.
