We’ve been noticing an alarming trend—more cases of hemorrhagic stroke, and in younger patients (early 30s, 40s). High blood pressure often has no symptoms until a serious complication occurs. Take your maintenance medications, monitor your blood pressure regularly, and don’t wait for a stroke to remind you of the importance of prevention.

CPR isn’t just a medical skill. In a cardiac emergency, anyone can be the difference before professional help arrives.

Parents, caregivers, neighbors, coworkers and friends are often the true first responders. When more people are ready, more lives are saved. If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

HYPERTENSION IS A SILENT KILLER.

Hypertension is often called a “silent killer” because many people do not feel sick – even when their blood pressure is already high.

A quick blood pressure check can help people act early, seek care and prevent serious health problems later.

This , make checking your blood pressure part of caring for yourself – and your family.

Check your pressure. Protect your future.

‼️

Too many people with hypertension are diagnosed late, treated late – or not treated at all.

In many settings across the Western Pacific Region, people still face barriers to regular blood pressure checks, timely diagnosis, affordable medicines and long-term follow-up care.

Hypertension can be controlled – but care must reach people earlier, closer to where they live, and more consistently.

Check your pressure. Protect your future.

Annual influenza vaccinations reduced the risk for flu-related hospitalizations and medical visits for children by as much as two thirds, according to new research in Pediatrics.

However, researchers also found that less than half of the children received the immunization between 2021 and 2024. The 2024-2025 influenza season was among the deadliest for children in decades outside of the pandemic, with 280 flu-related deaths, according to the CDC. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends the influenza vaccine for children aged 6 months or older. Tap the link to read more. https://mdsc.pe/3NVSOHr
