The JESUS THE ANOINTED ONE CHURCH, INC (JA1), by Gods grace and power is called to be blessed and be a blessing to the people, to the nations and to the body of Christ! Like other churches and ministries, her Divine Mandate is to fulfill the Great Commission of the Lord JESUS CHRIST. But there is one special and wonderful call and gifting the Lord has endowed and entrusted this church the ministry
of INNER HEALING AND DELIVERANCE. Gods working and outpouring in this Church is really amazing, the signs, wonders, and miracles wrought by the Holy Spirit through inner healing and deliverance are tremendous. Through these manifestations, the Church grew in leaps and bounds. Evangelism, church growth, and church planting just came naturally. The Securities and Exchange Commission issued a Certificate of Incorporation on May 12, 1999, but even before its registration, the Church has carried on its operation for the purpose for which it was established. Bishop Art has been pastoring in the province of Batangas for 15 years before Jesus the Anointed One Church was birthed on December 20, 1998 and was incorporated on May 12, 1998 as a full-gospel non-profit organization. Gonzales is the founding head pastor and president of JA1. On the same year Bishop Art was joined by Reverend Isagani Grospe with a congregation from Laguna province and Reverend Rodolfo Abat, Jr. with members from Lucena. The three pastors and their corresponding leaders joined hands in fulfilling the call of God to JA1 to go further in the field of Inner Healing and Deliverance (IHAD). Against all odds, the three pastors with the JA1 congregation heeded the covenant-calling of the Lord and inched their way to fulfill the instruction they have received in Genesis 12:1-3 and Luke 4:18-19 (NIV). The Lord has said to Abram, Leave your country, your people and your fathers household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoner and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lords favor. The Start of Something Big. In the mid-90s, Bishop Arts congregation experienced an exciting stage in life as a high ranking Satanist named Satur commissioned another Satanist to kill Bishop Art and destroy the growing church. During one of their Sunday worship services the Satanist disguised himself as a born-again Christian. All of his schemes were exposed to his surprised as he was confronted by a much greater power, the power of the living God whose presence was so thick on that Sunday service. From then on, weekly prayer meetings and gatherings at the church resulted in the nightly crusade as literally hundreds of Christians and non-Christians from other churches came to the meetings to witness the manifestations of God through IHAD. The preachings were always accompanied by signs and wonders. The nightly crusades would sometimes end till the following morning; people had to be asked to go home to rest and come back the nightly crusade. The City of Batangas was never the same after this spectacle which went on for months. Lives were changed, broken families were restored, and the oppressed were set free, thus, once again, the phenomenon of the Book of Acts was relived. This province was once a stony ground for evangelism in the 80s. a survey of DAWN 2000 in 1989 shows that Batangas was the ninth most needy province in terms of church planting and evangelism. This became a big challenge to Pastor Art who firmly believes that the preaching of the word of God coupled with the demonstration of Gods power thought spiritual warfare and deliverance would result in great harvests of souls. A School within the church. In 1990, part of the growing demand brought about by the influx of church attendees was the establishment of Christ the Lord Institute Foundation (formerly Jesus is Lord Learning Center) head by Bishop Art as president and Mrs. Virginia Laygo as the school administrator. CLI is the churchs school which caters quality education for the pre-elementary, elementary, and high school levels based on the principles of the Lord Jesus Christ. Conquering the Rest of the World. Through the leadership of Bishop Art along with his associates, God has allowed the JA1 Church to hone and polish its distinct gifting in the IHAD by being able to develop its own curriculum based on structured teaching. A regular IHAD Conference and Ten-night IHAD Crusades were being held annually to equip the church proponents of this curriculum inner healing and deliverance JA1 style. It was also during these years when God raised up new breed of leaders, volunteer workers and pastors who were willing to support the leadership of Pastor Art to fulfill the covenant calling of the church. Different satellite network churches started mushrooming across the country since then. In June 2002, it was joined by congregations of 700-1,000 from Tuguegarao (located in Northern Luzon). JA1 International Satellite Churches were also founded in Korea, Italy, Hong Kong, and Macau. Presently, the estimated active members of JA1 are from 5,500-6,000. To date it has 20 community satellite networks, 18 Batangas town satellite network churches, 12 Oriental Mindoro satellite network churches, one Occidental Mindoro satellite network churches, two Bicol satellite network churches, on Samar Satellite network churches, nine northern satellite network churches, five Cagayan Valley satellite network churches, four Manila satellite network churches, 24 international satellite network churches and still growing.
