♀️ International Women’s Day ♀️🌸

As part of Women’s Month, the CENRO Cantilan Department, in partnership with the MHO, conducted VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) a simple screening used to detect early signs of cervical cancer and breast examination to check for possible breast abnormalities.

This activity encourages women to take care of their health through early detection and prevention. 💜

MRSIA Monitoring Activity | Barangay Level🔰💉

The two-day monitoring activity under MRSIA was successfully conducted in Cantilan with the participation of our Regional and Provincial Visitors, led by Ms. Christy Ann B. Castorico, RN, DMO IV.

The activity was formally welcomed and fully supported by Dr. Tomas B. Cruiz, MD, RMT, MCHM, FPSMS, together with the Municipal Health Office staff. A feedbacking session was also conducted with the visitors and MHO staff to discuss observations, challenges, and recommendations for improving immunization services.

This monitoring activity aims to assess the vaccination status of children, identify those who missed their scheduled immunizations, and ensure that all eligible children receive the necessary vaccines under the MRSIA program. It helps strengthen immunization services and protects children from vaccine-preventable diseases.
We sincerely appreciate our visitors for their guidance, technical assistance, and continued support in enhancing the MRSIA program.

We proudly congratulate the barangays that achieved 100% MRSIA vaccination coverage:

This accomplishment reflects the strong collaboration of the Local Government Units (LGUs), the Municipal Health Office, barangay officials, health workers, BHWs, and the support of parents and guardians.🤝

TAKE A LOOK I DOH OFFICIAL VISIT TO CANTILAN JANUARY 20,2026

The Department of Health – CARAGA conducted an official visit to the Super Health Center of Cantilan, led by the esteemed and well-respected Undersecretary Dr. Gregorio Murillo Jr. together with the highly regarded and dedicated Regional Director, Sadaila K. Raki-in MD, MCHM, MDM, CESO IV, Officer-in-Charge, and Dr. Oscar de Jesus, Provincial Health Officer II.
The visit included an inspection of the Super Health Center, a comprehensive program review and consultation on the implementation of the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA ), and a visit to the ongoing construction of the Cantilan Community Health Hospital to assess project progress and facility development.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Glynna B. Andoy, DMO IV, and Dr. Tomas B. Cruiz, Municipal Health Officer of the Municipality of Cantilan and our Vice Mayor Liberty Cale. Discussions focused on strengthening primary health care services, improving immunization coverage, and sustaining accessible, quality, and people-centered health services for the community.

This visit highlights the strong collaboration between the DOH Central Office, regional and provincial health authorities, and the local government unit in advancing accessible, quality, and people-centered health services for the people of Cantilan.
