Gawing prayoridad ang pagpapasuso:
๐Ÿ‘ถ Exclusive breastfeeding lamang sa unang 6 na buwan.
๐Ÿฅฃ Pagsapit ng ika-6 na buwan, simulan ang complementary feeding habang patuloy ang pagpapasuso hanggang 2 taon o higit pa.

Ang gatas ng ina ay likas at ligtas para sa sanggol. Bukod sa tamang nutrisyon at proteksyon, ang pagpapasuso ay nakatutulong din sa pamilya at sa kalikasan.

๐ŸŒฑ Ang gatas ng ina ay likas na pagkain ng sanggol. Wala itong kailangang packaging kaya nakababawas sa basura at polusyon.
๐Ÿ’™ Nakatitipid sa gastusin sa gatas, bote, at pangangalagang pangkalusugan dahil mas kaunti ang pagkakasakit ng mga batang pinapasuso.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Laging malinis at handang ipasuso ang gatas ng ina. Nababawasan ang panganib ng pagkakasakit na maaaring dulot ng kontaminasyon o maling paghahanda ng breastmilk substitute.
๐Ÿ‘ถ Ang pagpapasuso ay nakatutulong sa paglaki ng malusog na sanggol at nag-aambag sa mas malusog na kinabukasan ng ating bansa.

Ayon kay Dr. Catherine Layon-Miral, Assistant Regional Director ng DOH Eastern Visayas, kailangan ang SIA kahit may Routine Immunization dahil marami pa ring batang hindi pa nabakunahan o hindi kumpleto ang bakuna.

Layunin ng SIA na mabigyan ng karagdagang proteksyon ang lahat ng target na bata at maabot ang hindi bababa sa 95% vaccination coverage upang maiwasan ang outbreak.

Sa Eastern Visayas, nananatili pa rin ang panganib ng tigdas at rubella. Kaya naman isinasagawa ang SIA ngayon para mapunan ang immunity gaps, maprotektahan ang mga bata, at maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit sa komunidad.

Last July 25, 2026, the Municipality of Capul celebrated Nutrition Month with different fun, meaningful, and engaging activities that brought together our community in promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and environmental care.

From NutriRampa, NutriBooth, NutriGroove Zumba contests, games, educational activities, and various presentations, the celebration was filled with learning, laughter, teamwork, and community spirit.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this celebrationโ€”our LGU Capul, Barangay Officials Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Health workers, schools, partners, volunteers, and all Capuleรฑos.

Indeed, it was a celebration that reminded us that good nutrition and a healthy environment go hand in hand.

๐ŸŒŸ LAUNCHING OF MR-SIA 2026! ๐ŸŒŸ

On August 10, 2026, we proudly launched the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) at the RHU Grounds, Capul, Northern Samar, in collaboration with the Poblacion Barangays and Barangay San Luis. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’‰

This activity marks our united commitment to protecting our children and communities from measles and rubella. Together, health workers, led by our beloved Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Gillashe Bacayo-Calamay , barangay officials, representative from other government agencies such as PNP and BFP, SB on Health, Hon. Arnold Garrote, parents, and community volunteers work hand in hand to ensure that every eligible child receives the protection they deserve.

One child vaccinated, one step closer to a healthier and safer community! โค๏ธ
