Answer: Remove milk to make more milk.

Breastmilk works on a supply and demand system. The more milk you effectively remove through direct latching or pumping, the stronger the signal your body receives to keep making milk.

That’s why frequent and effective milk removal remains the biggest driver of milk supply. Walang pagkain, cookies, supplements, o tea ang makakapalit dito. Kung may naitulong man ang mga ito sa iyo, magandang support sila, pero hindi sila ang pangunahing dahilan kung bakit dumadami ang gatas.

🥛 FOREMILK vs HINDMILK: Why Letting Baby Finish One Breast Before The Other Matters
Did you know that your breast milk changes during a feeding session?

🟡 Foremilk is the milk released at the beginning of a feed. It contains more water and helps satisfy your baby’s thirst.

🟡 Hindmilk is the milk released later during the feed. It is creamier, contains more fat, and helps satisfy your baby’s hunger while supporting healthy weight gain.

That’s why it’s important to let your baby finish one breast before offering the other.

Constantly switching your baby back and forth between breasts may prevent them from getting enough hindmilk.
While foremilk helps with hydration, hindmilk provides the extra calories and fat that help keep your baby full and satisfied.

If your expressed milk looks watery, don’t panic. Foremilk is supposed to look thinner. It doesn’t mean your milk is weak or not nutritious.
