Samar Provincial Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility Coordinators, together with the Provincial Health Office, participated in the Orientation on the Establishment of a Primary Care Provider Network (PCPN) Referral System for Adolescent Health on March 9–10, 2026 in Paranas, Samar.

The activity gathered representatives from Rural Health Units and partner stakeholders including PNP, MSWDO, SK, and DepEd, as well as Sangguniang Bayan members of Paranas, to discuss the PCPN referral framework, clarify stakeholder roles, and strengthen coordinated, youth-friendly primary care services. Discussions also highlighted the referral pathway for VAWC (WCPU) clients to ensure timely and appropriate care.

Referral pathways and protocols were developed during the two-day activity to support better coordination of adolescent health services.

The activity was organized by the Paranas AFHF and co-facilitated by JPARAP

As part of our Family Planning session, our pregnant teens were able to witness actual counseling and subdermal implant insertion for a 14-year-old postpartum teen mom, who had a CS delivery last January 20.
