Today, the 𝗦𝗣𝗛 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 & 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵: 𝗧𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 : 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 was successfully conducted in 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, bringing essential health services and health education closer to the community. The activity was attended by out-of-school youth aged 10–19 years and young mothers.

As part of the outreach, participants benefited from 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗕-𝗚𝗬𝗡 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. They also attended a Reproductive Health Lecture conducted by Dr. Maria Lea C. Justo, where important topics on adolescent and reproductive health were discussed. To further support the participants, health kits were distributed at the end of the activity.

This Health and Wellness Outreach was made possible through the partnership of the 𝐒𝐏𝐇-𝐀𝐅𝐇𝐅, 𝐏𝐘𝐃𝐎— 𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐊 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲.

As part of the Family Planning lecture for adolescent pregnant clients, the Family Planning Nurse demonstrated the subdermal implant insertion procedure to an FP client.

This hands-on demonstration aimed to help teen mothers better understand the method, address common misconceptions, and reduce fears or anxieties associated with its use.

From being a PYP (Program for Young Parents) client who once wrote on the freedom wall, she is now proudly serving as one of our peer educators in AFHF. 🩷
