On the Ground for Ligtas Tigdas! 🛡️👶✨

To ensure no child is left unprotected against Measles and Rubella, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Team, together with the Cauayan Primary Care Facility Staff, visited three barangays across our municipality for a targeted, hands-on monitoring drive of the ongoing Ligtas Tigdas Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA).

Community immunity requires local unity. During the visit, our health monitoring team engaged directly with key barangay stakeholders, including the Punong Barangays, Kagawads on Health, Rural Health Midwives, and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs).

By working hand-in-hand with our barangay leaders and provincial health partners, we are tightening our strategies to reach every eligible child in Cauayan.

Vaccines are safe, free, and proven effective. Let us trust science, protect our children's future, and work together toward a fully protected, measles-free municipality! 💙

Mas mahadlok kita sa komplikasyon nga dala sang Tipdas kag Makayha

DOH: 'Wag matakot sa mga side effect ng bakuna. Ang mga ito ay normal lamang at madalang na mangyari.

Kung sakaling makaranas ng side effects, handa ang mga healthcare worker na tumugon sa mga ito.

Ang dapat ikatakot ay ang panganib ng Tigdas at Tigdas-hangin na maaaring humantong sa pagkaospital at kamatayan.

Pumunta sa pinakamalapit na health center o sumangguni sa nurse o midwife sa inyong barangay para sa pagbabakuna.

Youth Leaders Take Center Stage as Inayawan Hosts Successful 'Adlaw sang Pamatan-on 2026'

The youth of Cauayan have truly proven that they are active partners in building a healthier, safer, and more empowered community!

The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) – Inayawan Chapter, in strong partnership with the Cauayan Primary Care Facility and Cauayan District Hospital, successfully spearheaded the Adlaw sang Pamatan-on 2026—a milestone event dedicated to adolescent health, safety, and leadership!

A massive THANK YOU to the dedicated student officers and key youth leaders from Barangay Inayawan and Barangay Linaon who showed up, engaged, and led by example! Special appreciation goes to Sir Hanz Emerald Villaflor, Inayawan PYAP President and PYAP Federation President of Cauayan, for his outstanding leadership and dedication to bringing this initiative to life.

To equip our young leaders with vital life skills and medically accurate health education, our municipal health facilities and partner agencies spearheaded high-impact sessions:

🧠 Adolescent Health & Wellness: Lectures focusing on common physical, emotional, and social challenges faced by teens today.
🛡️ STI & HIV Preventive Education: Comprehensive discussions aimed at breaking stigmas, dispelling myths, and promoting sexual health responsibility.
🧪 Free & Confidential HIV Screening: Providing accessible, safe, and confidential testing services directly to the youth.
✍️ "Take the Safe S*x Pledge": An interactive DOH Playbook activity where youth leaders committed to agency, body autonomy, and safe practices.
🚒 Basic Life Support (BLS) Orientation: Hands-on emergency response and life-saving techniques conducted by the dedicated personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Together, we are nurturing a generation of informed, resilient, and proactive Cauayanon youth. Thank you to every agency, school, and young advocate who made this event an outstanding success!

𝐌𝐌𝐑 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐑: 𝐀𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐛𝐚?

Alam mo ba na magkaiba ang gamit ng MMR at MR vaccines?

Ang MMR (Measles-Mumps-Rubella) ay bahagi ng routine immunization schedule at nagbibigay ng regular na proteksyon laban sa tigdas, beke, at rubella. Samantala, ang MR (Measles-Rubella) ay ginagamit sa Special Immunization Activities (SIA), lalo na kapag may outbreak o banta ng outbreak, upang mabilis na mapalawak ang proteksyon ng komunidad.

Kaya kahit nabakunahan na ng MMR ang iyong anak, maaaring kailanganin pa rin ang MR vaccination kapag may isinasagawang SIA.

Magkaiba ang gamit nila—pareho silang mahalaga sa pagbibigay ng proteksyon laban sa measles at rubella.

Para sa tamang impormasyon tungkol sa bakuna, kumonsulta sa inyong BHW, midwife, nurse, o iba pang health worker.

Piliin ang tamang impormasyon. Piliin ang proteksyon. Sama-sama nating panatilihing Ligtas ang Tigdas!

August 22, 2026 | Youth Leaders of Inayawan and Linaon Champion S*xual Health in Adlaw sang Pamatan-on 2026✨

Here are some highlights from the Adlaw sang Pamatan-on 2026 hosted by the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) – Inayawan Chapter!

This impactful health advocacy drive was successfully initiated by the Health Promotion Units of the Cauayan Primary Care Facility and Cauayan District Hospital, together with CDH Teen Connect.

As part of the activity, key youth leaders and student officers from Barangay Inayawan and Linaon came together to take a stand for adolescent health through the DOH Health Promotion Playbook initiative: "Take the Safe S*x Pledge." 🤝🛡️

By breaking the stigma, choosing informed protection, and taking accountability for their choices, these young leaders are paving the way toward an HIV-free, healthier, and more empowered community.

Huge thanks to all the student leaders and SK champions who stepped up and made their pledge count! 🌱
