In celebration of Rabies Awareness Month, the Department of Health in collaboration with the City Government of Cauayan, City Health Office successfully conducted the Rabies Education Fora with the theme:
โ€œRabies-Free na Pusaโ€™t A*o, Kaligtasan ng Pamilyang Pilipinoโ€

Held on May 13, 2026, the activity aimed to strengthen public awareness on rabies prevention, responsible pet ownership, animal vaccination, and proper management of animal bite cases.

The FHSIS and Surveillance Unit of CV-CHD conducted a monitoring visit at City Health Office III to assess the implementation of health programs.

Ms. Joana P. Samonte, Nurse III and City Epidemiology Surveillance Coordinator, together with Ms. Jennifer S. Comia, RN, FHSIS Coordinator, and Ms. Jannevy P. Fariรฑas, RN, STI/HIV Program Coordinator, facilitated the activity.

The monitoring was successfully conducted, and the overall performance of the programs was found to be commendable.

The City Health Office โ€“ III successfully conducted the โ€œI ClinicSys Version 5.0 Updates Overview and Orientationโ€ for the staff of City Health Office โ€“ III, staff from City Health Office โ€“ I, and Barangay Health Workers. The activity was held on April 7โ€“8, 2026, as part of the continuous effort to enhance the knowledge and technical skills of health personnel in the proper utilization of the I ClinicSys Version 5.0 system.

The two-day orientation provided updates and important information on the features and improvements of the system, enabling participants to better understand its functions and application in health service delivery and data management.

The activity was conducted with the technical assistance of the Information and Communications Technology Unit of the Department of Health, represented by Mr. Gabriel B. Derada, Computer Programmer II, and Ms. Rhona Mae D. Pangilinan, who served as the resource persons and facilitators during the orientation.

The program formally opened with an opening prayer led by Ms. Jelique Clare G. Andres, RRT. This was followed by the welcome and program overview facilitated by Ms. Princess Marie A. Pua, RN, EMR Program Coordinator of CHO-III. The Opening Remarks were delivered by Ms. Joana P. Samonte, RN, Nurse III, who emphasized the importance of strengthening digital health systems and improving data management in the delivery of quality health services.

Through the active participation of the attendees and the valuable guidance of the resource persons, the activity was successfully conducted and achieved its objective of enhancing the participantsโ€™ understanding and capability in utilizing the I ClinicSys Version 5.0 system.

๐Ÿ“ข TB YAKAP CARAVAN (Active Case Finding)
In celebration of World Tuberculosis Day, with the theme โ€œYES! PILIPINAS CAN !โ€, the TB YAKAP Caravan (Active Case Finding) was successfully conducted on April 1, 2026 at Barangay Sillawit, Cauayan City, Isabela.
This meaningful activity aimed to strengthen early detection and prevention of tuberculosis within the community, bringing essential health services closer to the people.

The Purple Wednesday Service of the City Health Office III, held on March 25, 2026, focused on Geriatric Screening for individuals aged 60 years old and above. This initiative aims to promote the health and well-being of senior citizens through early detection, proper health assessment, and timely medical intervention.

As part of the service, screening tests and a 10-minute Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) were conducted for all geriatric patients who visited the facility. In addition, assistive devices provided by the Department of Health (DOH) were distributed to elderly patients who were identified to be in need of such support.

The activity was designed to assess the overall health status of elderly patients, identify potential health risks, and determine appropriate medical management, intervention, or referral when necessary.

Through this program, the City Health Office III continues its commitment to providing accessible, age-appropriate, and quality healthcare services for senior citizens in the community, ensuring that they receive the care, attention, and support they deserve.

A total of 28 senior citizens benefited from the Purple Wednesday Service, composed of 8 males and 20 females who received services at the facility.

The City Health Office III โ€“ Cauayan also joins the celebration of National Womenโ€™s Month 2026 with the theme:
