, as the years pass by, such words lose its meaning as the stressful years of medical school and residency take its toll in the minds of the idealistic young doctors. The daily drudgery of our lives spent studying for the tons of exams, the USMLE, the sleepless nights on-call taking care of a never-ending list of critical patients , leave us tired, embittered, and disenchanted. AJM Medical Health Services, in partnership with PhilHealth YAKAP, participated in the Health and Wellness Fair organized by the Maritime Safety Services Command (MSSC) through the CG Nursing Service Sub-unit Cavite Buoy Base (NSSU-CBB), held on 12 August 2026 at the MSSC Function Hall.

The activity brought essential health and wellness services closer to the men and women of MSSC, promoting preventive healthcare, health awareness, and overall well-being. Personnel were provided with opportunities to access health screening, blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring, family planning services, HIV testing and counseling, wellness activities, and other health-related services.

A highlight of the event was the Health Talk facilitated by AJM Medical Health Services, focusing on the objectives, benefits, and importance of the PhilHealth YAKAP Program. MSSC personnel were also given the opportunity to learn more about the program and register to access its available healthcare benefits.

AJM Medical Health Services sincerely appreciates the Maritime Safety Services Command for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful initiative and for its continued commitment to the health and welfare of its personnel.

As emphasized during the activity, readiness begins with taking care of ourselves. Through initiatives like this, AJM Medical Health Services and PhilHealth YAKAP continue to support communities and organizations in building healthier, more informed, and resilient individuals.
