Here’s our working hypothesis about the sustainability movement: it’s all too centred on depravity.

Reduce. Eliminate. Lessen. Scrimp.

And yes, yes, while data and our moral compass tell us this is right — “Yes, we should reduce our carbon emission,” and “Yes, we should eliminate waste.” — our statistically-comatose, jargon-allergic self just can’t grasp its depth anymore. Because, while depravity may change mindset, it cannot sustainably (ha!) alter behaviour.

We need solutions that work with market behaviour, with instant gratification, and convenience. We need to have a semblance of a choice. We need better choices.

What the Pack PH was built on this tenet: that the reduction of impact need not be a reduction of choice.
