Increasing youth exposure to smoking and va**ng content online - often subtly promoted as lifestyle and social media content - continues to shape attitudes and influence behavior among young people.
This important issue was discussed by Dr. Gerard Garcia, chairman of the section of pulmonology, during the monthly media forum “Hisgutan Ta!” held at Waterfront Cebu Hotel & Casino last May 28. The discussion highlighted the growing impact of digital media, the normalization of smoking and va**ng in online spaces, and the need for stronger awareness, education, and protection for our youth.
Creating a healthier, smoke-free and vape-free future begins with informed conversations and collective action. 🫁💙
