Treating an actively bleeding, unresectable gastric mass is a delicate challenge. These friable tumor beds make standard clips and cautery risky.

Our GI Fellows used Hemospray (TC-325) to deliver non-contact, rapid hemostasis, forming a stable mechanical barrier in seconds to bridge the patient to oncologic care.

We are delighted to share the successful completion of our 2-day World Hepatitis Day Celebration, organized by the Section of Gastroenterology and Public Health Unit of Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) in support of the Hepatology Society of the Philippines' advocacy to promote hepatitis awareness, prevention, and early detection.

The screening activities were conducted at Sambag I Gymnasium on July 27, 2026, and at the VSMMC Outpatient Department (OPD) on July 28, 2026.

Through this initiative, we successfully screened 109 individuals, helping identify those who may benefit from further evaluation and timely medical care.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our physicians, fellows, nurses, volunteers, partners, and everyone who participated and made this activity a success. Together, we continue to raise awareness that early detection saves lives.

Last March 17, 2026, the VSMMC Digestive and Liver Center held its 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 at the 2nd Floor OPD Building to mark 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵.

We had a fantastic turnout! Early prevention is the best cure, and we are proud to see our community taking charge of their digestive health.

It was an inspiring day of learning and collaboration! We are so proud to share that 𝘿𝙧. 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚 𝘼𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙖 shared his expertise and gave an impactful talk during the activity. He was joined by our dedicated fellows and residents from both sections, proving that when it comes to your health, teamwork truly makes the dream work! 🤝
