March 15- A senior citizen came in at the clinic to consult about a >10-year slow-growing mass on her right foot. It wasnt painful when left alone, but when pressed or when wearing a closed shoe she would feel significant discomfort. She said she wanted it gone. So we scheduled her an elective removal of the cyst.
April 13- We removed the cyst. It took me almost 2 hours, kay lalom-lalom ang need kab-uton para makuha ang cyst en bloc. Naabot nas point na murag ma scrape na nako ug apil ang bukog so i had to be very careful. The entire cyst, including its wall/capsule, is removed intact to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Interim- The wound is cleaned and dressed daily. Patient takes her antibiotics religiously. Proper wound care is done.
April 23- The patient goes back for a follow up and we are very pleased to see nga gwapa kaayo ang healing sa iyang samad. No signs of infection, dry, and clean. 💗

Planned procedure: Elective excision of cystic mass under local anesthesia.
Final diagnosis: Sebaceous cyst, 4th interdigital space, Right Foot; s/p excision
