🐶 How Do You Get Rabies?

Rabies is spread through the saliva of an infected animal. You can get rabies from:

• 🦷 Animal bites • 🐾 Animal scratches contaminated with saliva • 👅 Saliva entering your eyes, nose, mouth, or an open wound

⚠️ If you're bitten or scratched, wash the wound immediately and visit the nearest Animal Bite Center for anti-rabies vaccination. Don't wait—early treatment saves lives!

Rabies is 100% preventable, but once symptoms appear, it is almost always fatal. If bitten or scratched by a dog, cat, or any animal, wash the wound immediately with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention right away.
