💚 HEALTH IS WEALTH — BUT ARE WE FINANCIALLY READY?
TOP 5 LEADING CAUSES OF DEATH IN THE PHILIPPINES — 2025
According to the latest provisional data from the Philippine Statistics Authority:
🥇 Ischaemic Heart Diseases — 135,250 deaths
🥈 Cancer / Neoplasms — 77,422 deaths
🥉 Stroke / Cerebrovascular Diseases — 66,988 deaths
4️⃣ Pneumonia — 48,430 deaths
5️⃣ Diabetes Mellitus — 41,656 deaths
These numbers are not just statistics.
Behind every number is a family, a livelihood, a dream and a financial responsibility.
And when illness happens, the question is not only:
“Will I survive?”
Sometimes the family also has to ask:
💰 “How will we pay the hospital bill?”
💰 “How long can our savings last?”
💰 “What happens to our children's needs?”
💰 “Will we need to borrow money?”
💰 “What happens to our income while we recover?”
For perspective, PhilHealth benefits for major treatments can already reach significant amounts—such as up to ₱524,000 for PCI related to heart attack and up to ₱1.4 MILLION for qualified breast cancer treatment under its Z Benefits package.
But remember: healthcare costs and coverage vary.
That is why financial education is not only about saving and investing.
It is also about PROTECTING what we have built.
❤️ Take care of your health.
💚 Build your emergency fund.
💙 Understand your PhilHealth benefits.
💜 Consider appropriate health protection.
💛 Don't wait for a medical emergency before preparing financially.
Because the best time to prepare for a health emergency is BEFORE it happens.

Health is wealth. But preparedness protects the wealth you've worked hard to build.
