The Cotabato City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) successfully conducted the Rapid Disaster Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Training on August 24–28, 2026, at Jinkys Catering, Cotabato City, with the participation of invited partner agencies and stakeholders.

The training aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of responders in conducting rapid, systematic, and accurate assessment of disaster impacts and priority needs, particularly during emergencies and disasters.

More importantly, the activity provided an avenue for the CDRRMO and its partner agencies to strengthen communication, coordination, information sharing, and interoperability, ensuring a more organized and unified approach to disaster response and decision-making.

Through collaborative learning, workshops, and practical exercises, participating agencies strengthened their understanding of their respective roles and how they can effectively work together before, during, and after a disaster.

On August 18, 2026, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducted a post-drill activity featuring a Vehicular Accident Scenario with Patient Extrication, Bandaging, and Triage Operations for a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI).

The drill focused on strengthening the responders’ Skills and knowledge assessment and enhancement capabilities in scene assessment, patient extrication, rapid assessment, bleeding control and bandaging, triage, prioritization of patients, and coordinated emergency response during incidents involving multiple casualties.

The activity provided an opportunity for responders to assess their readiness, teamwork, communication, and ability to manage limited resources while ensuring that patients receive appropriate care based on the urgency of their conditions.

Through continuous training and realistic simulation exercises, the CDRRMO remains committed to building a competent, coordinated, and resilient emergency response team prepared to respond when every second counts.
