The Department of Health (DOH) – Ilocos Region will have a final push against preventable childhood diseases, officially extending the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) Phase III until September 4, 2026.

The extension aims to close the immunity gap, track down unvaccinated children, and hit the mandatory 95% herd immunity threshold required to prevent a regional measles outbreak.

Vaccination teams will spend the next week conducting aggressive mop-up operations, searching for missed children, and ensuring no household is left vulnerable. Free vaccinations are available daily at all local municipal health centers.

ISANG LUSONG LANG SA BAHA, POSIBLENG LEPTOSPIROSIS NA!⚠️

Kaya't tuloy-tuloy po ang pamamahagi ng City Health Office ng doxycycline sa ating mga komunidad bilang proteksyon laban sa leptospirosis matapos lumusong sa baha.

Kung na-expose sa baha, huwag balewalain. Magtungo agad sa ating health centers para sa tamang assessment at gabay sa pag-inom ng doxycycline.

Mas ligtas pa rin ang umiwas sa baha hangga’t maaari. Ingat, Dagupeños!

🔴 Lumusong sa baha (may sugat man o wala): Magpatingin agad sa pinakamalapit na health center o ospital para sa pagpapa-reseta at tamang gabay sa pag-inom ng antibiotic.

🟡 Hindi lumusong pero may sugat: Iwasan ang paglusong sa baha at takpan ang sugat ng waterproof bandage.

🟢 Hindi lumusong at walang sugat: Iwasan ang pagsulong sa baha hangga’t maaari. Kung hindi maiiwasan, magsuot ng bota.

⚠️ Mahalagang paalala: Kailangan ang tamang reseta ng doktor upang makakuha ng gamot para sa Leptospirosis.

Patuloy na mag-ingat ngayong tag-ulan.

ANNUNCIATION OF THE LORD PARISH SUPPORTS MEASLES-RUBELLA VACCINATION DRIVE 💉

The Annunciation of the Lord Parish (ALP) will serve as one of the vaccination sites for the Ligtas Tigdas: Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity of the City Government of Dagupan through the City Health Office, in cooperation with the Department of Health.

FREE Measles-Rubella vaccination for children aged 6–59 months will be available at the ALP Parish Hall on Sunday, August 23, after the 6:00–7:00 AM and 8:00–9:00 AM Masses.

Mayor Belen T. Fernandez thanked Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Danille Chad C. Pecson and the Annunciation of the Lord Parish for supporting the city’s vaccination drive and helping bring essential health services closer to Dagupan’s children.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to have their children vaccinated to help protect them against measles and rubella.
